Pros: good ergo design, Mobile Web 2.0, many A/V features, easy to use voice dialing Cons: VCast mostly a gimmick, calendar sync to Outlook is messy.
This is a good basic flip (clamshell) phone. Features work well, are reasonably complete, sensibly integrated, and are easy to understand. Basics: small size, good battery life, (stereo) bluetooth, speaker phone, MP3 player, headset jack, voice ...

Pros: Does everything you need from a PHONE, and several other entertainment options as well Cons: The phone is very good, Verizon limited some potentialy great options.
Great phone, plenty of features, couple of flaws. When I was looking for a phone Bluetooth was the main feature I was looking for, after having a Bluetoooth headset on my Motorola E815 this is a must have on any new phone. Most everything else was ...

Pros: Large buttons, good layout, excellent sound and speakers. Get to throw away my Motorola. Sturdy Cons: Limited ring-tone selections, no name auto text when adding contacts. Verizon extras are too expensive
I have had a lot of phones (Nokia, Motorola,Kyocera) and I was always skeptical about LG. The last few phones I got I was suckered into by the great deals offered by either Alltel, Verizon or ATT etc. This time I went in looking for the best battery ...

Pros: Light, thin, small, good voice quality, good battery life, good camera & flash Cons: NOT true stereo speakerphone, small screen.
Overall this is a solid phone. It has so far survived the Steve-drop-test. It has been dropped several times, from varying heights, onto different surfaces, such as: Rock, gravel, mud, sand, rough concrete, smooth concrete, out of the car door ...

Pros: Durability, size, speaker phone, color, clarity, Bluetooth, GPS. Cons: Lack of ring tones.
Look at my reviews and you will see that I'm a cell phone nut. From the second I saw this phone, I loved it. I had the Chocolate before this and absolutely hated it. The battery would last about 10-minutes. I did however, love the features on that ...

Pros: It's great to have wireless internet a digital camera and mp3 player all in one Cons: don't really like that it's so expensive to get extra features
I got my new LG VX8300 from a Verizon Wireless store. The cell phone was a free upgrade from my old phone which was a VX8100. It’s good to have wireless internet, digital camera and mp3 player all in one. I’ve had this phone for two months and I really ...

Pros: Compact, loaded with features, displays are easy to customize Cons: phone volume is sometimes low, buttons on face are begging to be bumped
My wife and I purchased these as upgrades from MUCH older Nokias. It's my first camera-phone, also my first V-cast phone. I bought it because it was a deal through Verizon at the time (2 phones for $50 + I was due for an upgrade so I'll get the $50 ...

Pros: A very solid, reliable phone Cons: Irritatiing menu structure, too many buttons to press
I like LG a lot -- we've gone through six or more and the ones that were lost or died were our fault. (For example, be careful with this one when it is open, the screen is easy to crack -- my bad.) I wish it was smaller and lighter, but it is not ...

Pros: Excellent battery life; very good coverage; built-in MP3 player Cons: expensive accessories; voice command isn't very good
A very good cell phone. Gets the job done, which in my opinion is to make phone calls. It has a very good coverage area, although tends to be weak inside buildings. The battery life is remarkable. I have gone 5-6 days without a charge. Of course ...

Pros: Sleek design, good sound, camera with flash Cons: The stubby antenna.
I just got this phone a few days ago. I had returned my new Razr V3M after one week because of the horrendous battery life. I must say that the LG VX8300 is much better in that department. Not only did my phone charge up quickly, but it has lasted ...

Very nice phone.
by angstusn ,Mar 27 '07
Pros: Loud speaker phone, quick to charge, light weight Cons: The way it opens. Battery length
I got this phone as a replacement for another phone that I broke. This phone has a lot of features including, vcast, get it now etc. There is even a tip calculator and a very easy to use calendar. I have had this phone for 7 months now and I have not had any problems with it at all. The battery life on this is kind of small. After a 12-20 hour day making the occasional calls it is time for a charge. Charges very quickly, though. Ringing could be a lot louder. If you are in a loud environment you probably will not hear this phone ring. However, the speaker phone is very loud. The angle at which it opens makes it almost impossible to balance between your shoulder and ear without any hands. All around good phone

I am surprised
by mazoid ,Feb 04 '07
Pros: Small and compact. Looks nice. Works decent without hands free. Cons: Poor clarity, expensive downloads, horrible ringtones, poor quality camera.
I am surprised that so many people spoke so highly of this phone. I am on my 3rd replacement and 4th hands free with it. The clarity is spotty and calls get garbaled half way through. I have tried generic hands frees, an expensive verizon hands free, and a basic verizon hands free. All cause me great difficulty in hearing the person. Without the hands free it works better but I am not able to drive or do other things while I talk this way. The speaker which I was told was great is awful. I can't think of anything really great about this phone. I am disapointed and wish I went with my initial decision which was the Razor phone. The people in the verizon store actually convinced me this was the beter of the two!

The Music Phone
by kaceye ,Mar 18 '07
Pros: It's a phone, music player, camera and much more all in your pocket. Cons: You can not download music to use as a ringtone.
I did a lot of research before purchasing this phone. The Razor is stylish, the Chocolate is hot, but the LG VX8300 is the best. 1.3 Megapixel camera takes some really great pictures. microSD Expansion slot for a memory card to download more music than the phone can hold alone. Bluetooth Wireless Technology for hands free driving or cleaning the house. Speakerphone and hearing aid compatibility. My favorite part, you can purchase the music kit and download music from your own CD collection to the phone. You still have to purchase the ringtones if that is something you like. The phone comes with a set of headphones and works as your own MP3 player. Another helpful feature is the front LCD. You can see who is calling without opening the phone. You can take a picture and match it to a programmed number and the picture will show on the front LCD as well. It's well made and fits in your pocket. Love the phone!

LG VX8300 V Cast Phone
by zebra4000 ,May 13 '08
Pros: Fine until it isn't Cons: This phone gets replaced with a refurbished phone then forget it. Trash!
I thought this was a great phone until it wasn't.
All the features were fine until about a year into use.
I use it little and have taken very good care of it.
I got a headset and memory card for it and that was all good.
But, once it wears out and you get a refurbished replacement forget it.
They refurbish these things many times over so forget that.
