Lunar Pages has been a great webhost for me. I've had no site downtime other than my taking the site down to re-build or revamp, but that's of my doing. Most of my problems are answered very quickly. I remember before I got LunarPages, I was asking a support question and I got a response from sales in less than 6 minutes. It made me feel great knowing I could have fast service from a reliable host. I've never had one problem with LunarPages, just me and my lack of html. lolz... I recently thought about canceling to a cheaper host, but then seen the services they offer were not as great as LunarPages was. So I decided to stick with LunarPages for it's superior services, webspace, and bandwidth. All in all, I have to give LunarPages a perfect 100% on my grading scale for their surpassed reliability, stability, performance, and excellent customer support.

Pros: I couldn't find one.
Cons: Not as advertised; not responsive.

Lunarpages was down for hours during my first month with them. When the site was up, half of the passwords for their log-in scripts wouldn't work. In response to problem queries, they kept sending automatic emails with the same (non-working) responses. Their email response time was 10 to 20 times longer than advertised. Their phone-hold time was almost an hour. Their product info would be scanty for a new user. Their add-on advertised products aren't accessible. Worse-yet. When I requested a charge back on my credit card (well within the time limit) their service person flatly refused-in violation of credit-card merchant agreements.
The only other service I've used didn't offer as much, but they delivered what they offered. Lunarpages definitely doesn't.

Cons: Price is a bit higher than some, but not too much

I've been with Lunarpages for about 2 and half years now. I've since added websites on other hosts, and LunarPages is the best. When I first started adding sites and found cheaper hosts, I used to toy with the idea of moving. However, I am so impressed with the uptime (virtually no downtime in the last 18 months) and the service, that I doubt I ever will.

I've only had minor problems but LunarPages is very responsive to what I've asked. They read the request and make sure I've gotten the service I need. When I had a billing question, there was actually someone on the other end of the phone. I can't tell you how fantastic that is!

Cons: I didn't find LunarPages sooner!

After having nightmare experiences with two hosting services, I tripped into LunarPages and have never looked back since that day. They have helped me in more ways than I can possibly describe and always answer any questions or address any issues I have within 24 hours, usually less.

This is a fantastic hosting service and I highly recommend them to those considering starting a new website, or to those who currently have one established.

Finally, they offer various options from a month to month agreement with a discounted Domain price, to a discounted hosting price with a FREE Domain and it is free as long as you use their service. You just can't beat that with a stick!

We had our domain and e-mail hosted by LP for almost two years. We had some problems with mail downtime, but all in all we got by alright. We then realized that our mail was being blacklisted by a few local servers in our area, probably because LP allows porn shops and other unsavoury businesses to be hosted on their servers, so some mail servers block ALL mail originating from a domain handled by Lunarpages.

Getting off mail server blacklists is not a small problem, and one that we knew was going to end our relationship with LP. If you want your mail to go through 100% without any trouble, you simply can't use Lunarpages. Your hosting provider has to "screen" clients whose businesses could end up blacklisting everyone hosted by that hosting provider. So while they offer good value, I still can't recommend them to anyone.

I host many sites with many different providers (client determined). Lunarpages has the best value and incredible Service. Hands down!.

I am a web developer and have had two accounts with lunarpages for about a year and half and, boy, have I ever been pleased! Their servers are fast, absolutely reliable, and their development tools are excellent. When I need support I can get it by phone or by email within 1 day. I really value that (and try not to abuse it). Lots of bang for the buck. I could not be happier.

The hosting was setup very fast (within two hours of payment everything was up and running). In the time I've been there I've never had problems with their hosting (except a few technical problems that were basically not their fault: like a DDoS).

You get plenty of tools, and their support is always available (even on holidays) and very friendly.

Pros: Prompt service & response. Packages are chock-full of features.
Cons: I have none to report at the present time.

Regarding your *Additional Plan Changes* email. I am please to hear that even more additions are being made. It's rare that a company, non-the-less an Internet based company is in front of the customer satisfaction curve.

Any "drawbacks" I felt were present when I first signed up for hosting with Lunarpages (which I already felt was awesome) a few years ago are now gone. Now, a few years later and over a dozen hosting packages later, I am at a loss to find a single drawback. Lunarpages is absolutely awesome ... especially with the addition of unlimited MySQL databases - not that I wasn't willing to pay
the extra on a few of my sites to get the extra DBs, but this just made it SOOOOO much easier. Thank you Lunarpages, you're the best and I will NEVER look for another hosting provider again. At Lunarpages, we get it all and more, for the best price in the world!

I have been hosting 3 sites at Lunarpages for 2 years now. I move 2 of them to another hosting company because it happens that Lunarpages can decide whenever they want, to disable your site (or even remove it from the server on which you were) because they state it takes too much ressources. An they do so without any prior notice (and in some case without any notice at all).

This is clearly unacceptable for business related website. (no email , no web service until you discover what is happening). Even if you try to gently and diplomatically solve the problem, you face completly unprofessional people. It seems it is a frequent problem (http://www.diagnose-me.com/sucks/lunarpages.html).

In my humble opinion, this company should be avoided. It works fine until....they decide to do what they want. Unbelievable and Unacceptable.

I typically don't complain. But I had the bad experience of having my site deleted by this company. They restored a week old back up, by then it was too late. I canceled their service shortly after.

I recently set up a first-time web page design using LunarPages as the hosting service. I am impressed. It was easy, the documentation was all there and the tools work as advertised. Haven't yet had to call support, essentially because the documentation and tools are so complete. I came across many opinions elsewhere on the net that rate this group as having very responsive support, which helped me decide on them. My experience so far says it was a great choice!

Lunarpages is cheap. The attractions end there. Intermittent service interruptions are compounded by surly, obtuse and sanctimonious support. Then this was topped off by our email accounts being unilaterallly stopped on two occassions because of one complain from an unidentified party that they were getting spam. Told us we should tell out clients with aol accounts to open "hotmail or yahoo accounts. How professional is that? Then they stopped our website (we are Wall Street research boutique) and told us to get lost and kept our pre-paid hosting fee which was paid up for another 6 months. They are a menace to your business' health. Avoid at all costs.

I would definitely not recommend lunarpages for any business web site.
I have two accounts there. Once account has worked fine with no problems, but other one is terribly unreliable and slow.
This last week, the site was down for over two hours at a time. This happened more than once. When it does come back up, it is extremely slow, sometimes taking over a minute just to load one page.
I have informed them of the problem, but they can't seem to fix it because the server keeps crashing saying that Apache is temporarily not available.
If you need your page up, lunarpages is not for you.

I had tried Valueweb, I had tried GoDaddy Hosting, but now I am home to stay! Lunarpages is an excellent hosting service with all the right features.

I use Lunarpages to host 8 different websites - 2 of those sites are on their Voyager plan (top shelf) and the other 6 are on their Shuttle plan. You pay for what you get with both plans, and there are no "too good too be true" claims.

All of my sites have quick loading times and virtually no downtime, and whenever there is a problem, their support site/forum (http://www.lunarforums.com) is top-of-the-line!

If you are sick of your current host and checking reviews to make sure you aren't going from bad to bad, rest assured - LP is the place to be. If you are new to web development and are looking for an affordable, yet newbie friendly site, LP is the place to be.
