For a great machine that can handle DV video editing or even light uncompressed editing, not to mention any standard office application, the iMac G5 is a great choice.

This is a great machine for research or a lot of mathematical/graphical operations, it won't leave you down.

The G5 is perfect for those of you who need a powerful processor. However, this speed comes at a price. If you don't need this power, go for the eMac.

I found this to be a wonderful machine. It was significantly quieter than my old G4 desktop. It was about 4x faster too. . . .
