The small additional cost in buying a Mac is far outweighed but it's reliability, ease of use, features and looks - not mention the lack of frustration

If you are going for quality, and large applications, I suggest a G4. Otherwise, go for the cheaper PC with a free printer.

This machine, like OSX, is at best, a work in progress. I'd rather have "SARS" than another Mac.
