Pros: It will do the job it was built to do. Cons: Zero customer service from Hoover or their authorized dealer. The dirt cup, seal and capacity.
Summary: We bought a Hoover Mach 5 a little over a year ago. During assembly it was evident that we were missing a crucial part rendering the unit useless. As per Hoovers documentation "DO NOT RETURN TO STORE" we contacted Hoover via their web site. I told them ... read more

Pros: The controls are easy to use and find. It has excellent suction. Cons: Weight, upholstery attachments poorly designed.
Summary: I Purchased this vacuum at Wal Mart last spring. I read many reviews and read about this one being some sort of Dyson clone. They let a patent lapse or some such thing. I Think that I paid $168 or so for it. I brought it home and put it together in ... read more

Pros: Suction, dual cyclonic action, HEPA filter, power brush tool, auto cord rewind. Windtunnel Cons: a little heavy, sort of dirty to empty, like ALL bagless machines.
Summary: 9/15/07 I was at my local Kohl's store this weekend and saw a new Hoover model. It's called the "Windtunnel+Cyclonic" and is more conservative looking but with the same great technology as the Mach5. It is model: U5780900 which sells for about $200.00. ... read more

Pros: For cleaning purposes, it's wonderful. Quiet, picks up everything. Cons: Machine way too heavy to maneuver. Cleaning the machine. Retractable plug.
Summary: This vacuum can really pick up the dirt. However, be prepared to constantly dump the bin more than you'd like. If you want a vacuum in which you can just empty the bin, then this is not for you. It's a time consuming process. Dirt gets stuck on the ... read more

Pros: Quiet motor, cord rewind, powerful suction, brush-bar shut-off. Cons: Small dirt cup, messier to empty than a bagged vacuum, heavy.
Summary: I wanted to get a bagless cyclonic vacuum, having used a couple of bagged vacuums and a Rainbow machine already. Unfortunately, Dysons are way too expensive. The Hoover Mach 5 (and Mach 3) are replacements for the Fusion. The Fusion did poorly in ... read more

Pros: The Mach 5 machine looks great and comes in a beautiful, efficient cardboard box. Cons: The brush rolls only when it wants to. There is almost no suction.
Summary: Because it looks like a space robot, I thought my new Hoover Mach 5 might have advanced technology making vacuuming more efficient. But while it looks good, I've found looks can be deceiving. The brush rolls only when it wants to (the belt

Pros: Hmmm... Cons: This vacuum absolutely sucks.
Summary: This is the worst product I have ever purchased in my life. I will never purchase another canister vacuum...I learned the hard way that I would have been better off to fork out the money for an Electrolux than to skimp on a vacuum cleaner that

Pros: cord rewind Cons: Heavy, smells like burning rubber
Summary: After only having this Vacuum cleaner 6 months, it shuts off after about 5 minutes of use. I let it sit for about 15 minutes or more, then it will turn on. I then get to use it for another 5 minutes...you get the picture. Very disappointed in this
