Pros: Excellent and detailed view of an all American kinda guy. Cons: Can't find one thing wrong, although a few more pictures could never hurt.
Years and years ago I was forced to watch 'studio wrestling' with my older brothers. After years of side russian leg sweeps and methodic take downs I developed an interest in the sport. In the 80's the sensation of wrestling was rekindled with the...

Pros: A great account of Foley's life Cons: People who don't follow wrestling may not understand some parts of the book
The first thing that struck me about the autobiography of this wrestling legend is the front cover. I'm not one to judge a book by its cover but I did wonder if letting a wrestler who had suffered so many injuries (to the head in particular) was such a...

Pros: An intriguing, hilarious, touching, and insightful look not only into the life of one very unique individual, but into the bizarre world of professional wrestling. Cons: Don't buy this one for the kiddies. There is spotty language, and some sexual references. There are a few typos too but who's counting? :)
If I could force mainstream America, in its suffocating skepticism, to read one book, it would be Mick Foley's stunning autobiography Have a Nice Day. For decades, America has, and I fear always will, looked down on pro wrestling as a hack profession....
