Pros: Steering, handling, solidity, safety features, refinement Cons: C230 power just adequate, pricey
Summary: If you really want to play, youve got to get serious. Thus I titled my review of the 2001 C240. Mercedes promoted the car as a true BMW 3-series competitor in terms of handling and overall driving enjoyment. My test drive of a C240 with ... read more

Pros: Style, substance, comfort and THIRTY FOUR MILES PER GALLON Cons: Some cheap interior switchgear, supercharger only rated to 100K, expensive MB service
Summary: A while back I wrote a review on the 2001 C240 that I purchased used. I drove that car for a bit less than two years and a bit less than 50,000 miles. When I sold it, it was almost seven-years-old, had 106,000 miles on the odometer, and still looked ... read more

Summary: Its easy to write a glowing automobile review during the honeymoon phase
you know, the first four years before the car starts breaking and costing lots of money. This isnt one of those reviews. My Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor Sport ... read more

Pros: supercharged 4cyl, gas mileage, sound system, MB styling Cons: the infamous cupholder, novel idea, but a little flimsy.
Summary: I - love - this car. I drive it even when I have nowhere to go, because with this car the journey is truly what its all about and even when you get to your destination, you'll be having withdrawal about getting out of the driver's seat. Don't worry

Pros: Nice looking exterior design, but lack-luster interior. Cons: Rear-wheel drive is unstable. The interior has a cheap feel. Lacks basic ergonomics.
Summary: This entry-level Mercedes really is truly their "low end". I was very disappointed in driving this on a road trip as the feel, trim, quality and performance were unimaginative and lacking. Maybe the rule of thumb "you get what you pay for" should be

Pros: Fast, reliable, sporty, and good gas mileage. Cons: Poor visibility, back seats hard to get into
Summary: The car runs smoothly, has nice pickup and fun features. The back seat is roomy but tough to get in, so don't pick this model if you plan to use it much. I LOVE hatchback/fold down seats for utility when shopping or loading. There are visibility issues
