Avoid ordering 'plants' from this website at all costs. I say 'plants', because essentially what you receive are small pieces of root with a few leaves that have already withered and died. Although I placed my order approximately 1.5 months ago, I've only received half of my order. Each item is shipped separately, but there is no logic/ reason to the order in which they are shipped. I am already extremely disappointed in the quality of the items. Save yourself money and effort...purchase from a website that may be a little more expensive but has a decent reputation.

I will never do business with Michigan Bulb again, regardless of how much of a discount is offered. Yesterday (5/2) I canceled an order with them that I had placed on 2/17. Two months after placing the order I had emailed them inquiring as to status, as I could not even find the order on-line. I was dismayed to learn that this order is "on backorder and we are unable to provide an estimated ship date . . . ". On 5/2 I received another email from Michigan Bulb following up on my second email to them stating that "all orders will process and ship by mid June. If the items are not available at this time your order will either convert to a fall ship date or be canceled." As this was totally unacceptable to me, I canceled the order. Even if (and that's a big "IF", the order showed up in mid-June, that's 4 months from order to receipt. Ridiculous. And from the sound of it, I very possibly would never see the order. How can this company stay in business?

Michigan Bulb, Spring Hill Nursery and Brecks do not really give a lifetime guarantee. These are all handled as one company. They sent me a letter saying all current and reship orders are canceled and you may not order from us again. This means any of their companies. I called them up and they just said my ratio was not favorable to them. One of the biggest problems is when you buy a collection that has many flowers and only one or 2 of the plants do not grow, they can not just reship those plants. It is the entire collection or a complete refund. That is not the buyers fault. It is the way they catalog items. They ship roots or 2 inch pots that should be live plants but they are all near death. You do have to baby them and hope they survive.

I have had great customer satisfaction with Michigan Bulb.
They not only stand behind what they sell, they are very, very courteous in all correspondence as well as telephone
calls.
The first time I bought from Michigan Bulb was last year around June. The pants were tiny, and I thought they were overpriced for their size. I called them and complained. They said there was a lifetime guarantee, so I could always have the plants replaced if I wasn't satisfied.
I put the roots in the ground despite my misgivings and in about 2 months, I witnessed the most spectacular plants ever. They were healthy and apparently from choice stock, because even after the harsh Minnesota winter, they came back. Mind you, these plants were under my mailbox, so they were close to the street. They must have had their own dose of salt when the snow trucks came and removed the snow from our street. I know because my neighbor's plants did not make it this year.
The service may not be perfect, but their products surely are! My Home Depot lavender which was bigger than my bareroots is now smaller than my Michigan Bulb lavender. They were not lying when they said their plants are good quality!

This is the WORST gardening company to work with. Two years in a row I've ordered products that never arrived. I have wasted most of another growing season waiting on products that were not received. When questioned about it the customer service reps gave me false shipping dates. When the false shipping dates came and went, they then gave additional excuses and false shipping dates. Tell all of your gardening friends NEVER waste time or money with this company.

Do yourself a favor DO NO PURCHASE from Michigan Bulb. When my plants arrived they were dead. I called customer service and they resent the order. When this batch arrived it was also on its last legs. The next season 75% of the plants did grow. I called customer service and they told me not to buy from them anymore, they said I was a problem customer. They did not replace the plants or refund for the plants that didnt survive. This is a bad company to buy plants from. I now shop at Gurneys where all the plants are shipped it great shape, Thumbs down Michigan Bulb!!!!!!

I ordered a butterfly garden, and a perennial gerden from Michigan Bulb Co. total price was about $50.00. All of the plants were easy to grow, and I thought it was a good deal.
Out of the 35+ plants I received, 2 day lillies grew. I am a fairly knowledgable gardener, and gave the bulbs and starts excellent cae. My good deal was a huge rip off.customer service is non-existant. Do not waste your money on this company.

Wasted money and wasted time. It is only weeks after placing an order that one is told the item is back ordered. They continuously change the expected shipping date. Plants are scrawny and of poor quality. Emails from customer service have incorrect information, do not answer questions asked and contradict each other. I will never do business with them again ----- if I ever get the rest of my order.
My order still has not been filled even though they said it was to be shipped 3 WEEKS ago - all my emails go unanswered - there is no way to track orders or packages on their website. The prices are cheap, but so what - AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL customer service - avoid at all cost.
ordered lilacs and wisteria which according to their chart should not have been sent until Sept. They arrived when we were on vacation and when we arrived home they were dead. Several emails have been sent to the company and no response.
