Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
by dpruett ,Sep 08 '05
Pros: Nice to pay for something that can be used for multiple things Cons: I wish they made a bigger size magic eraser to tackle larger tasks
I found a new use for my magic eraser! I was trying to remove the black marks at the bottom of my car door (where my shoes hit it constantly going in and out) and the car cleaner that I was using wasn't working. I brought my magic eraser out there and the marks came off so easy. It seems this product is coming in handy for indoors and my car!

A+Mazing
by rlogle ,Jun 19 '04
Pros: Works, works, works. Cons: Doesn't last long enough, but isn't much of a con, really.
My partner and I just bought a house. The previous owner had rented the house out. The tenants had a four year old that will one day be a world famous artist. Her artistic ability was never stifaled. Almost every wall in the house had been drawn on with crayon. For cleaning and painting the interior the owners dropped the cost of the house by $8,000. My partners co-worker brought this little white sponge thing to clean the walls with. I thought this was very funny. Just some water and this white sponge was gonna clean these walls? I don't think so. Boy was I wrong. This thing worked so well, and so amazing that my partner couldn't stop cleaning. The only surface this thing didn't work well on was one or two of the plaster walls. Our sixteen year old son even loves this thing and will clean for hours with them.

It's magic with a little elbow grease
by jennnduncan ,Dec 16 '03
Pros: It was able to remove crayon marks that I was about to give up on. Cons: The erasers did not hold up well on a tough job.
I bought Mr. Clean Magic Eraser because of the advertisement that it removes scuff marks and crayon. I didn't believe that it could remove the crayon off my walls. I had already tried 2 different other products that stated they could remove crayon but they both failed to do so. So I tried it and it magically worked.
It wasn't as easy as they pictured it on the commercial. It actually took a lot of scrubbing just to get small crayon marks off the wall. The erasers also magically wear away fairly quickly.
Overall I was very pleased that it removed the crayon from my wall, but I was not so pleased that I had to scrub long and hard and go through several erasers to make that happen.

I feel left out.
by powermuffin ,Oct 23 '04
Pros: It was a free sample. Cons: Falls apart in a matter of minutes. Seems to not clean at all.
Here, so many people are writing glowing reviews about this product and I had nothing but disappointment with it.
I thought to try it on a baker's rack. After removing the "eraser" from the package, I wet it and with my very first stroke, a chunk fell off! I continued cleaning, or at least attempting to do so, and scrunched up the sponge, just a bit as I tried to muscle in on a stubborn greasy spot. Again, a large chunk of the "eraser" fell off. I had not had this product in my hands even five minutes and it looked like it had been used and abused for months!
Is there supposed to be some sort of cleaner in this sponge? I saw no, and I mean NO improvement in the appearance in the baker's rack after going over it with this product.
From the number of good reviews, it seems that this Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is good for certain types of cleaning needs on a very limited set of product types. I hope that in the future, the package reflects this.

May take the paint off the walls!!
by trudynh ,Mar 07 '05
Pros: Took everything from coffee to pencil off my walls Cons: Takes a layer of paint off the wall if you're not careful
I decided to try the Mr. Clean magic eraser on my white walls that are easily marked by my son. I tried to remove the marks with various products but had no luck. The Magic Eraser took all the marks off with little effort but I noticed it also remove some of the finish. I scrubbed all my walls after using the eraser and noticed when the sun hit the wall, there were dull spots everywhere. The eraser took a layer of paint off!! So be cautious when using these on colored walls!

REMOVES SPILLED NAIL POLISH FROM CARPET!!
by mel31bar ,Jun 26 '04
Pros: REMOVED FIST SIZE NAIL POLISH BLOTCH FROM BEIGE AREA RUG Cons: no cons. the eraser does discinigrate, but still so worth it
House sitting Drama! recently a couple friends and I were house sitting, and bright pink nail polish was accidentally spilled onto a beige area rug. We were frantic, so we tried nail polish remover, which only spread the stain. So we happened to find a magic eraser under the sink. willing to try anything, we gave it a shot. To our AMAZEMENT, it literally ERASED the bright pink nail polish from the carpet! not a trace was left!! This product took bright pink nail polish out of a beige carpet! completely gone! INCREDIBLE! I recommend this product to everyone. i cannot stop talking about it to my friends.

I tell everyone I know......
by bingob ,Feb 10 '04
Pros: It works!! Cons: Where can I get more samples for my friends to try?
This is the best product ever! I give samples to my friends and relatives and tell them I am looking to be the spokesperson for this product (now my sister wants to join me!) She's sold on it too along with everyone else I encourage to try the product. I saw the magic eraser advertised on TV and just happened to purchase a box. I haven't had this much fun removing spots on walls and stains EVER. It is truly magic!

I Can't Believe It!!!
by iwrkot2 ,Feb 11 '04
Pros: It really works the way they say it does. Cons: Doesn't last long enough. Leaves residue on some things.
Wow, a product that actually does what it says! I used this on my white doors throughout my house. Kids dirt marks, dogs paw prints, crayon, and INK. It got it all out. It left a little residue on some of my walls though, but it could be the paint type used, but also leaves a residue on my granite countertops, and textured refridge. I've tried it on almost everything in my house except my kids! It's not made to hold up for a lot of use though.

Magic eraser good but gritty?
by shellcanada ,Jun 18 '04
Pros: cleans the white on running shoes Cons: left a very gritty white residue on my walls .had to wash off after.
I think they hyped this product a wee bit much ...glad for the change to try it out ...but vinegar and water and a sponge do just as well for me.I thought it cleaned well on some things? didn't remove the dirt off counter tops.
Falls apart way to easily..one day of use.
And takes paint off the walls and not just dime store paint high quality paint.

I can't believe how well it cleans. Thanks so much for this product.
by georgia927 ,Mar 05 '05
Pros: Really does what it says it will do. You made a believer out of me. Cons: I haven't found anything negative about it. Can't think of anything negative to say.
I can't believe after 45 yrs. of cleaning, that I would be excited about a cleaning product; however, it is the first time I feel my stainless steel range top has been cleaned. Also, it cleans my shower and tub thoroughly. I could never get through the soap/water build up properly. Thanks so much. After working very hard to get the tub/shower clean, I now do it every other day or so to keep it from building up. Even does the glass shower doors.

Excellent
by niceguy1 ,Mar 16 '05
Pros: Makes cleaning fun...if you can believe that... Cons: Durability
These are great, I am a very clean person, some say neurotic...haha I was amazed at what was on the eraser after wiping down certain things in the house...especially the kitchen. What I thought was clean, was not, especially the area on the stove where the dials are...OMG...I thought it was clean...wrong...the eraser was a light shade of grey after cleaning that area....so embarrassed...but now I have these to make sure all the nooks and crannies are clean. They work great on the inside of the refrigerator and microwave to. The durability could be better but for $2.00 a pack I am not going to complain. I should be a spokesperson for Mr. Clean, I have recommended these to alot of people, friends, family, co-workers...

One word....AWESOME!!!!
by sloanwoman ,Oct 03 '06
Pros: I cannot brag up this product enough, I will NEVER be with out one again. Cons: I wished they lasted longer, but they are worth every penny!!
I have used this everywhere around the house and shop including my garage and car. There has not been anything this little thing couldn't clean. Things I thought were impossible. I have used a number of different cleaning products to no avail....I have coughed and gagged from the different smells of different cleaners...this one has no smell or allergy issues and unlike the others actually cleaned the many things I tried to clean. One specific thing was a shower that was in the basement no one uses but my teenage boys after football practise that would never come clean...I even bought a steamer to steam & sterilize the bottom of the textured shower floor...after a long time in the shower, it was somewhat clean...NO cleaning supplies would clean it worth anything...with little to no elbow grease and in less than 10 minutes it looked brand new!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Anyone else get a rash from this product ?
by canadasurfer ,Aug 19 '04
Pros: Took the stains off the walls in the back entrance. Cons: Also gave me an itchy rash on my hands and wrists !!
I can't deny this product performed very well for cleaning. However, the instructions should recommend the use of rubber gloves because it gave me a rash on my hands and wrists that hasn't gone away in a whole week. I do not have a history of allergic reactions.

Works Great, but be careful on Paint
by grantacre ,Mar 16 '07
Pros: Cleans most anything off most surfaces with very little scrubbing Cons: Doesn't work as well on painted surfaces, especially flat or matte finish.
This truly is a miracle product. But...be careful on paint. I have eggshell finish, high quality paint on my walls. The first couple of times on used this it worked great. Then the 3rd time it left a bit of a mark - greasy sort of look. On very dark paint it seems to sort of "eat" through the paint. I love the product and will use it, but sparingly on paint.

Awesome Product. I will positively use it again!
by jacklordlover1 ,Dec 16 '03
Pros: use wet or dry & instructions were easy to understand Performs like promises on television. Cons: It doesn't last long. Make them to were they don't fall apart so quickly
I bought 2 in a pack at Wally World for $1.98 and had a $1.00 coupon, so for .98 I figured, hey its worth a try. I used them when I got home and I was amazed to say the least on how well this product worked on all my cleaning jobs. It not only works dry but also well when wet. I was able to get all the grime off the hood of the stove. Fingerprints off the cabinets and bathroom was a breeze. I am really impressed with the product and I will recommend it to everyone. The sides of my tub are wonderfully clean and I didn't need a lot of arm strength to use it. I only have one beef and that is that the thing doesn't last. It shreds rather quickly.
