Pros: Great features, nice interface, reliable Cons: Definitely needs a memory card, a few weak points but nothing serious
For once I’d considered upgrading to a different make than Nokia, but I chickened out and stuck with them because of the user friendliness and reliability. And, to be honest, because I couldn’t be bothered getting used to a different ...
Pros: Tiny, great sound (ringing, talking, music), Nokia reliability, easy to use & customize, flight mode Cons: Not crazy about slider (tough to find good case); less customizable than my prev Nokia
Since I moved to T-mobile back in 2003 and got my first Nokia phone (the 3650; there's a link to my review of it at the bottom) I have been a huge fan of both T-mobile (I still hate my previous carrier, Cingular; link to why at bottom) and ...
Pros: The Nokia 5300 is a slide phone that automatically locks by itself. Cons: Trying to write words on the keypad can sometimes be a really hard process.
Cell phones are something I go through like french vanilla creamer. I get them, use them and then all of a sudden, something goes wrong and I need a new one. I knew it was time for a new cell phone but never really decided to get a new one until TMobile ...
Pros: Tons of storage and VERY user friendly. Lots of features! Cons: If keypad lock is on and you bump the slide open a little, it unlocks.
I love this phone. I wanted to switch from a flip phone to a slide phone. When I bought it I had to choose between this and the Motorola Rizer. I chose to stick with the Nokia because I have had such excellent service with my Nokia phones in the past. ...
Pros: Cool slider phone design. Wireless connectivity. Easy to use. Use MP3 for ringtones. Cons: Pixelated video; low battery endurance. Some may be turned off by color scheme.
I purchased the Nokia 5300 to replace my four year old Samsung phone. I wanted something fun, practical .and fun. I did some research and came across the Nokia 5300 Music Xpress. The Nokia 5300 is a slider phone with a very different color ...
Pros: Very user-friendly, awesome speaker sound for calls and music, colorful, bluetooth, voice activated Cons: T-Mobile exclusive, camera phone, questionable durability due to slider phone feature
I am still amazed that when I grew up, no one had a cell phone. Life was just fine using land line phones and there was no Internet. There were no laptops or e-mail and there were no digital cameras either. The only thing you needed to worry about was ...
Pros: - buttons
- slider
- camera Cons: - bad interface
- bad volume
- bad battery life
- static in conversations
I think I got a lemon. Everyone complained of a super-sensitive microphone on my end that picked up a ton of static. Besides that, the call volume was very weak, as was the music player's volume. Don't expect to listen loudly. The supplied headphones ...
Pros: Phone, Music Player, Radio, Planner all in one Cons: Battery life
Nokia 5300 XpressMusic meets IPOD by jdeforge - written on 17.10.07 - Rating: (4 of 5 possible stars) Advantages Phone, Music Player, Radio, Planner all in one Disadvantages Battery life I've had this phone for about 3 months now, I absolutely ...
Pros: Clear sound for the music.
Nice size.
Cons: Grainy pictures.
I got this phone after my Motorola stopped working. I have had no problems with it at all. I have read a lot of reviews about the screen breaking and so forth, I almost feel bad, because I cannot count the times I have dropped this phone in the 8 months ...
Pros: Good screen. Syncs with Rhapsody. Cons: Processor is underpowered. Short battery life.
I've owned plenty of Nokia phones in the past. This one is pretty much a medium-power phone. What I Like: --> Bluetooth. Unlike many phones out there, this device has a very robust list of Bluetooth profiles: SPP, DUN, OBEX, HF, SYNC. This means ...
Pros: slider design, customizable, easy-to-use software, radio feature, external memory Cons: vague battery indicator, camera has no flash
I upgraded to this phone from a Sony Ericsson and this Nokia has really made the move worthwhile. My first phone had been a Nokia a year ago and the company has definitely made steps to improve their design, user-friendliness and interface. Something ...
Great phone, weak screen by keyzmaster ,Sep 05 '07
Pros: Software, reception, features, display image quality Cons: Easily breakable screen, short battery life
Got the phone 2 months ago and was very happy with it for the first month and a half. Even though i had to charge it every night, battery life was decent considering that I was using a lot of power demanding features (camera, mp3 player). After a month and a half the screen cracked for no apparent reason - all it took was having it in my front pocket. Physical damage is not covered by most warranties and nokia does not recognize this screen as being flawed (being too fragile), so if the screen breaks you are either looking for a repair by a provider for $100, or u can get a new screen of eBay for 30 bucks and fix it yourself.
Overall if I were to choose again, I wouldnt pick 5300 and probably would go with Sony Ericsson CyberShot.
Pros: Great features, easy to use Cons: Screen is easily damaged; poor battery life
I've had this phone for five weeks. I've had very reliable Nokias in the past. Today, the screen on the phone suddenly went blank and had an 'Etch-a-Sketch'-type blob on the right side of the screen. I took the phone in and was told that it was caused by pressure (e.g., having the phone in one's front pocket and bumping into a desk). The screen is not able to be repaired. I can still make and receive phone calls, but I cannot text (or access my phone book). I am not one who beats up my phones; this is quite frustrating.
Pros: Great sound quality Cons: Low internal memory
The Nokia 5300 XPress Music is one of the best phones for music lovers. The control imitates an mp3 player and sound quality was great. The volume could be a little higher. Although Nokia focus on music they did not forget about pictures because the 1.3pm camera is the best so far.
Good phone, but very brittle by raongunmetal ,Apr 11 '08
Pros: Good sound, organization, and is a great eye-catcher. Cons: breaks Very Very easily, txting can take awhile with the keys.
This was my first phone with T-mobile and I expected it to be a fairly decent buy. Little did i know, I would have to replace it more than once a month. It died and from various reason: Damaged Display, Back piece breaking, button malfunction, and even a complete breaking of the plastic outer screen. I've never seen a cellphone have this many problems, and i know it isn't just a certain few phones. others i know have had these kinds of problems, too.
Other than the constant fear of the 5300 breaking yet again, It has been a semi-good phone. i get good sound out of the speaker and the music organization is neat and tidy. Just what i would expect for a phone of its caliber.
Bottom line is: If you know you wont drop, step on, grip, breath on, or even think about damaging this phone, its not a bad buy, but if you are an avid clubber and mall junkie like me, this one might not be sturdy enough. I am planning on checking out the Samsung Blast which looks just like this one. maybe it will be a bit stronger.
