Pros: It enabled Clooney to make Michael Clayton Cons: Bad script and sequelitis sinks this one
Summary: Since finally breaking through as a star in ER, and then making the rare leap to movie stardom, George Clooney has carefully crafted a strategy in which he does a commercial movie in order to do a labor of love. Sometimes, this works ... read more

Pros: After many laughs and making my weekend, Cons: Lucky 13
Summary: Ocean's Thirteen was exactly what it should be - a fun, artistic, quick-paced, suspense-ish, did I say fun, movie that brought this third installment back to its original feel. Ocean's Twelve was the week link in this "trilogy", although still ... read more

Pros: Restores the faith of the series, cast, story Cons: None
Summary: When Ocean's Eleven came out, it was a really good movie. Highly entertaining with skillful performances in a movie that didn't always kowtow to the audience. When Ocean's Twelve came out. It was an abomination, full of smug performances and a jarring ... read more

Pros: Ellen Barkin's breasts. They're large. Cons: The script. This isn't even a competent time-waster.
Summary: Ocean’s Thirteen is a caper movie that is so boring that my fourteen-year old son, who will watch anything, gave up on it. This is the third movie in the series that has been imaginatively titled in sequential order. I presume the ... read more

Pros: Soderbergh's stylish direction Cons: A pointless caper flick that lacks the style and the fun of Oceans Eleven.
Summary: You know how you can tell when a film series has run out of steam? It's when you know what the characters will do before they even make a move. It's when a plot element from one of the previous films is used again. Unfortunately, Oceans Thirteen ... read more

Pros: return of favourite actors and characters, witty yet cheesy script, engaging action Cons: More of the same, an increasing character set becoming unwieldy
Summary: If last years movie program was sprinkled heavily with sequels and remakes, this year is going for the higher numbers. Another movie following hard in the footsteps of previous offerings and relying on an established audience is Oceans ... read more

Pros: funny, better than Ocean's 12 Cons: lacks the swagger of Ocean's 11, feels like a sequel
Summary: There was a running joke, after the release of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. Star Trek VI, they said, would be titled, The Apology. That, I suspect, should be the secondary title for Ocean's Thirteen. Movie hype, like any drug, wears off and ... read more

Pros: Familiar cast back and in rare form. Still as lighthearted, fun, and enjoyable as ever. Cons: Completely predictable from start to finish. Fewest laughs of the "Ocean's" films.
Summary: Admittedly, I'd never heard of the original Rat Pack flick Ocean's Eleven until the big updated remake came down a few years back. With an all star cast including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Elliot Gould, ... read more

Pros: Great cast and it is funny Cons: No Julia Roberts
Summary: I sometimes hate sequels because they are never as good as the original movie. Ocean's 13 proved me wrong in one department. The movie and plot was as good as the first. What was missing was a real romance in the film. The movie was loaded with actors ... read more

Pros: Great plot. Fun twists and turns. Great cast! Cons: Nothing is a great as Ocean's 11.

Pros: It's cool, it's stylish, and it's funny. Cons: A little bit of a convoluted plot.
Summary: Finally, a summer sequel that doesn’t seem to care about the money. In “Ocean’s Thirteen,” the cast, the crew, the audience; everyone just seems to be having fun here and I’d like to invite you to join the party. The slow beginning may make you think ... read more
