Pros: Nice superclean rooms, plenty for kids to do Cons: Off strip, but OK if you have a rental car
I just returned from another trip to Vegas…..my first 2 nights were comped at Treasure Island, so my last night I spent off-strip at The Orleans. I had been wanting to check this place out during my last trip to Vegas.
Pros: Friendly staff, large rooms, good coffee shop and buffet, great rates, awesome spa. Cons: Off strip, smoky casino.
I stayed at the Orleans on Oct. 14-17. I was a bit leery staying off of the strip, but I would definitely stay here again. I got a low room rate through an airline, and I was afraid that because of it, I would get a terrible room, but I was pleasantly ...
My wife and I decided it was time to take a few days away from the work and kids and go to Vegas. I did my research and found great reviews for this hotel. I was a little hesitant about it due to never hearing about it and the fact that it was off the ...
Pros: Great room, no smoking on entire floor and beautiful pool. Cons: Somewhat reckless shuttle drivers, poor buffet.
Stayed at the Orleans hotel in early June 05. We were delighted to see there were no smoking floors, not just no smoking rooms. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are WAY too thick, and not fluffy at all so bring your own pillow. I had to go to ...
Pros: very nice rooms, good service Cons: it's in Las Vegas
I'm not a big fan of Las Vegas -- actually I can't stand the place. It's tacky, sleazy, noisy and otherwise doesn't have much in the way of redeeming social value. I recently had a business dinner in Las Vegas, and ended up staying at the Orleans...
The Orleans offers nice size rooms at very affordable rates. They will beat prices from any on-line site if you call them direct. The hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping didn't wake us up. Most people like to ...
Pros: Very cost efficient and home to all Vegas locals. Gambling A++ Cons: Cheesey decor, far from strip, bad dining options.
I stayed at the Orleans for 4 days Sun-Wed during my Spring Break March '03. This hotel is not suitable for young spring breakers but more fitting for an older crowd. The gambling at this hotel is pretty decent with this vast amount of low minimum tables ...
Pros: Great value, good customer service, friendly atmosphere, great casino host, and loose slots. Cons: A bit off the main strip
We stay at the Orleans a couple of times a year. It is our favorite casino. The rooms are big, very nice, and always very clean. The rooms also have a great view of the Strip, and they don't charge extra for the view. Gambling at the Orleans is fun...
Pros: Food Deals, Open spaces, Off the strip Cons: Less people on weeknights than the strip casinos have.
I had my flight canceled this last trip to Vegas, unknowningly I was placed in a hotel adjacent to The Orleans. With time to spend, I decided to make a trip over and see what was inside. Inside, I found cajun resturaunts, a big roomy gaming floor, ...
Pros: Poker room, buffet, large rooms, friendly employees Cons: some families with children
Stayed at the Orleans on two trips in December 03 and our last trip in March 04. The rooms are large, clean and supplied with good amenities. The restaurants are very good. They were remodeling the pool during our stays so we didn't get a chance to check it out. The casino is large and airy, with no "smokey" feel to it. The poker room is large and smoking is prohibited. They have a large diverse selection of slots of all denominations. The Movie theater and the bowling alley are major pluses for a break from gambling. Though off the strip, it doesn't seem isolated. Even without a car, the free shuttle to the Gold and Barbary Coast casinos gives you lots of options. We will be returning this coming December.
Orleans. Best bargain in Vegas by arnerator ,Dec 23 '05
Pros: The low prices, fully self contained. Cons: The coffee experiment.
The Orleans has it all, and at the best prices. From fancy restaurant to Subway, Italian, Sushi, Great Buffet, Ice Cream Shop, Discount Full Liquor Store, Bowling Alley, Movie Theater, Sports Book, Ample Gaming....you never have to leave the place. Very nice rooms, great views. Best of all...the prices. Low room prices and they don't rip you off at the various food concessions/restaurants. Prices competitive with the street.
The only negative----they recently put coffee makers in the rooms. You get one cup for free and then have to pay for all after that. Very tacky. I understand that many besides myself complained and suggested maybe bumping the room rate by a couple of dollars and not charging for the coffee. Regardless...still love it there
Pros: Room, Restaurants including buffet Cons: Not on the strip
We picked this hotel due to positive reviews from people who live near Las Vegas. They were right!
We had a wonderful time! The room was excellent! Frankly, it was one of the nicest I have stayed at and I have traveled a fair amount and have stayed in some expensive hotels.
The restaurants including the buffet in the casino area were wonderful.
Everything was clean and safe and comfortable.
While not on the strip, there was a shuttle that was very nice and very easy to take.
