Pros: color, price, packed with features Cons: a little bit too bulky
First I have to say this is my 4th PDA. Before the palm I was using a Psion 3mx that was long due for replacement.
COLOR
At last affordable color is available for PDA and that's the main selling argument for this one.
It's a pleasure...

Pros: Brilliant Colour screen, SD Card support, nice form factor! Cons: Nothing significant to rant about!
I was totally awed by the faceplate m130 comes in: I think Palm finally got it right! The nice glossy/'polished' surface feels smooth to touch, and I almost couldn't bear to put it down. Moreover, the blue/silver colour theme complements that of Palm's -...

Pros: Nice size and weight, buttons easy to use, nice flip top, great price. Cons: Color and brightness leave a bit to be desired.
A week ago I bought the m130. I have previously owned an m100 and a IIIc. I really didn't need a new Palm, but I saw this one and just had to have it.
Size
There were a few things I didn't like about my IIIc that kept me from using it as...

Pros: Great ergonomic design, flip cover, SD slot, COLOR Cons: Can't use all universal devices, screen hard to see in natural light, no flash ROM
My wife purchased the M130 for me for Christmas this past year, and got a great deal on a free keyboard that came with the device.
This was an upgrade for me from a Cassiopeia E-11, and it was well worth the learning curve for the Palm OS....

Pros: inexpensive for color, 16bit color, palm os Cons: difficult to see in sunlight, small memory
This is a great little computer thats cheap (at least cheaper than most color PDAs) for a color PDA and has great graphics display with a backlight (it shines brighter)
This model is almost exactly the same as the m125, but with color display...

Pros: Color, palm software, new OS, changeable faceplates, battery Cons: Bulky, buttons, sylus, and competition is better, no backlight
In perspective
Any Palm pilot, regardless of make, will (in my opinion) please you and exceed your expectations. In this light lets look at the 130 in comparison to it cousins in the Palm line; Palm 100 (basic) Palm 105, Palm 500, Palm 505,...

Pros: Great visibility of the screen in all light levels. Cons: Battery is somewhat low-tech.
Just when I was getting a bit fed up, the boss goes out and got the employees the wonderful Dell Inspiron laptops that I wrote about in “Thanks, Boss, I Needed That”. The excitement of that has worn off and I expressed interest in some sort of a...

Weighing in at a hefty $280 (Street Price U.S.) one the latest contenders in the PDA

Pros: Price, Palm OS, Color, Available Applications, Battery Life Cons: Screen Size, Screen "brightness"
The M130 is a fine basic PDA. If you are looking for basic functions with color screen then this is the PDA for you. IF you have good eyes and never plan on using it in bright daylight.
The PDA uses the tried and true Palm OS. Installing...

Pros: Excellent quality, good apps nice look Cons: Cradle is hard to use, flip cover is cumbersome
Despite a few minor issues The Palm M130 is easily the best in it's price range. Screen color and brightness are excellent. Color is vivid and the unit is of good size and weight.
The 8MB. of memory that comes standard should be enough for...

Pros: Palm OS (best), Color, Nice size Cons: Grainy display, SLOW
I am selling my m130 today because I replaced it with a Sony Clie sj33.
My reasons for leaving the m130 are as follows:
The graphic resolution on the Sony is TWICE what the Palm was.
The m130 could take up to a minute...
