Pros: Great picture, great sound, reasonable price
Cons: Cabinet/frame doesn't look very stylish or slick
When it came time for researching a 26" LCD tv for my home, my natural inclination was to go with a Panasonic. With the exception of one combo DVD/VCR that I purchased many years ago, all my Panasonic products have been great...Tube tvs, DVD players, cordless phones etc. However, because I was not sure how Panasonic LCD tvs would perform, I researched ALL the different brands. I had narrowed the search down to: 1. Sony Bravia - This TV looked and sounded great, but cost $200 more than the Panasonic. 2. Samsung LCDs - Some had that shiny piano black frame that reflects too much, and some had the speakers on the bottom which I didn't care for. I kept going back to the Panasonic. The contrast was sharp, blacks looked really black, and the sound was great. Well, it's been a month, and I'm still very happy with my choice! I haven't gotten an HD box from the cable company yet (they were out of them...) but since I am viewing from about 12 feet away the picture still looks pretty decent. And the sound is great too!
I purchased this model for $749 at Sears.
