Pros: 1080i, SD card reader, lots of audio/video input and output Cons: remote is a little confusing when switching to dvd or video game system
I've had this television for over six months now and could not be happier. My husband and I made our purchase at Sears and were originally planning on getting a Sony since we were so happy with our old Sony Wega. As we looked at all the display plasma ...

Pros: Excellent picture and sound Cons: None so far!
I hate to say "ditto" but the other reviews (the 5 star ones anyway :-) cover most everything. This is my first HD set and I spent a lot of time pouring over reviews etc. before shelling out the money. It came on sale at Best Buy and I went for it. After ...

So far, not so good.....
by diana402 ,Mar 15 '08
Pros: Great picture - works well with HD. Happy with the picture quality. Cons: I just wish it would work 100%, why does it break down on a weekend.
Purchased our Panasonic Plasma in July'07. It's heading to the shop for the 2nd time on Monday. Thank goodness for a one year warranty and a good dealer to have purchased from. They give us a loaner when they take this television in. Thinking about taking the extended warranty and will be asking for a replacement. This is the 2nd visit in 6 weeks, and with 2 working adults in the family, it doesn't get alot of play time. I have confidence they will fix the problem. TV just stops working, red light flashing with no picture. Called Panasonic help line, and they said this flashing red light meant you needed a service call. Call I did. A $500. fix. I guess our next step is to purchase a 2nd Television for the house - maybe one I can count on.

Panasonic Plasma is the right choice.
by nothardly ,Dec 09 '07
Pros: Exceptional quality of construction even the details. Cons: Wish the channels would lose the clutter, due to some worry of burn in.
I was not sure if I was doing the right thing to go plasma.
This model has made me happy with my choice and then some.
Great picture, really good sound with TV speakers only.
Panasonic did it right, even the stand is properly designed.
The box it came in reminded me of the best of Japan, carry
handles that then release to make un-boxing simple and tool-less. If you are reading all the comparisons like I did
don't worry, you will love this product. The plasma picture
is simply elegant and rich with wonderful depth. Can't wait
for more 1080P content to be available. But one of my major
concerns was how this set would handle current lower def and while not perfect it is a relief to say that other than having to alter aspect ratios for best result it is quite pleasing.

DOA
by george48169 ,Jun 06 '08
Pros: looked good in the store Cons: wish it worked at home
Picture quality (in the store) is great and I like the features including PC input and SD card reader as well as two HDMI inputs. Now the downside: upon taking it out of its box and hooking it up for the first time, it turns itself off in less than a second. According to the "blink code" (eleven blinks), it is a PB fan problem and requires service. They are scheduled to come out Thursday morning to fix it...what a pain for a new TV. I've never had a TV fail before, not even ancient vacuum tube TVs.
