Pros: 1500 Watts of comfy heat. No noisy fan Cons: Not a lot of oil for an 'oil filled heater' No Fan
I went looking for an electric heater to warm up my den more than the temperature set on the house thermostat. I was looking for an oil filled electric heater because of the suggestion of a friend who used one in an unattached garage/shop. She had ...

Poor quality, candidate for a safety recall.
by disgruntled4u ,Dec 25 '05
Pros: Absolutely nothing positive to say about this product. I would not recommend it to anyone. Cons: It doesn't work. Nothing more to say; it's a total lemon.
I bought this same model at the same retailer as the previous reviewer. We had borrowed a similar (but much better quality, apparently) radiator from a friend, and I bought this so we could return the borrowed unit. I noticed the same shortcomings right away; thinner fins, loud sloshing of oil, but I figured it wasn't bad for an inexpensive product. How wrong I was. Within 18 hours the unit was DOA. It wasn't the outlet or the breaker; the borrowed unit worked fine plugged into the same receptacle. Nope; the unit is DOA. A piece of junk. I wish there was something positive I could say about it, but it's beyond redemption.

A Waste of Money for an Inferior Heater That is Likely To Break Down
by chattanoogakl ,Jan 08 '06
Pros: None Cons: No online support information
Breaks down very easily
Doesn't heat up air well
I have a small house and I am using space heaters to heat it. My in-laws got this heater for me as a gift, but I have not had a good experience with it.
This heater is a waste of money. It hardly heats up the air around it at all and broke down after several months of use. I plug it in, turn it on, the caution light comes on (meaning, I think that it thinks it has tipped over and won't work), but the heater provides no heat. Obviously there is something wrong with this model internally, but it's not worth paying the money to get it fixed. Considering that the only positive review was from somebody who didn't actually use the heater, and that there is no support information, troubleshooting information, or owner's manuals online, and even my e-mail to the support department at Pelonis bounced, I would say that this is a serious piece of junk.
