brilliant tv
by thomson1968 ,Nov 04 '05
Pros: what can I say, all round brilliant tv for the money. Cons: no cons as far as iam concerned.
I bought this tv just under a year ago, its been really good (touch wood, lol).
This is a very very good tv for the money, the picture quality, the build, the sound, everything is brilliant, and it looks very nice on the eye too.
I would recommend it to anyone who cant afford the real expensive plasma's, its gotta be the best of the slightly cheaper models, a lot of tv for your money.
(I would recommend the fancy boomarang shaped table top stand that I have, it makes it look 100 times better than the standard little feet stand)

Huge screen for a reasonable price
by eheeren ,Jun 15 '05
Pros: Easy to install (country/language specific auto-tuning)
Easy to use (sound/vision modes) Cons: Resolution (946x480) less than LCD
No HDTV connection
Finally a Flat Screen within reach of my budget (< 2 000 EUR).
Our children rediscovered their play-station 2. It is really impressive to play on such a humongous screen.

defective product!! save your money
by nybuyer ,Jul 18 '06
Pros: Looks nice Cons: Defective, poorly made product, no follow-up/customer service
Got this as a Christmas gift; broke down within 2 months. Spent the last months between long delayed repairs-break down-more delayed repairs-cycle. Philips has the worst customer service, ever. Besides the 2 positive opinions posted here, you should check out other NUMEROUS customer review sites, where MANY other people experienced essentially the SAME problem (break down within a few months, non-existent customer service).
They drag this cycle on until your warranty wears off, then it's on you to pay up for more repairs after spending already over 2K for this defective product.
