Pros: Great TiVo PVR software, dual tuners, Dolby Digital audio and DirecTV service.
Cons: Only records DirecTV and requires $5/month subscription for most users.

Pros: Tivo is great.
Cons: Philips are unreliable, and do not take corrective action at their expense.
Summary: I have had overwhelming problems with Philips. I have right now 8 DSR 6000's (TIVO with Direct TV tuner) and 1 stand alone that do not work.

Pros: Just got this unit and have not found any pros...
Cons: Very slow. advertised as 2 tuners, only has one. Guide will not download

Pros: Tivo is a great service, just not on Philips equipment.
Cons: Philips box failed after 8 months, they DO NOT WARRANTY the repairs!!!!!

Pros: Record two shows at the same time while you are watching a third, pre-recorded show.
Cons: Your friends will avoid you when you begin to evangelize this product.

Cons: Cannot record anything but DTV (no over-the-air)
