Pros: fresh coffee in less than a minute, design, limited edition colour, large water reservoir Cons: coffee not included, expensive coffee pads
They promised me a “sensational cup of fresh coffee”… A picture is worth a thousand words… look at it (swoon). The Philips Senseo is supposed to be Philips’ best coffee machine ever. It was co-developed with Douwe Egberts, a ...

Pros: HOT coffee, brew one cup, easy to clean, easy to use, cute design Cons: none since I found insert allowing use of ground coffee instead of expensive pods.
I bought a senseo pot b/c my husband and I get up at different times in the morning. So making one pot for him and one for me was wasting a lot of coffee. The only problem is I don't like the taste of senseo coffee or folgers coffee. I LOVE our local ...

Pros: Easy to use/clean, stylish, versatile (reg. coffee, Eur. coffee, latte, cappuccinos, etc.) Cons: I have nothing bad to say about the Senseo.
Living in Holland, I bought a Senseo soon after they hit the market here. It saddened me to think that I would not be able to get one in the U.S., and since electricity in Europe works off 220v, I wouldn't be able to bring it with me. Now that they are ...

I love it.

Pros: Fast, Sleek Design, Good Coffee Cons: Water may not be hot enough for some....No Starbucks Pods so far....wah!
Let's just start this off with a disclaimer. Everyone seems to be doing that these days. If you are a coffee snob, you will not like this machine. There. Now, for the rest of you, who enjoy a good cup of coffee, without a lot of trouble...This is your machine. It was a Christmas gift for my office. I don't have ready access to water, and with the expanded tank, which holds 40 oz of water, I can have a couple of 2 liter bottles of water in my desk and fill up once a week. This makes coffee fast. It is not scalding hot, which is fine with me. I haven't got the sizes down yet, but I will. This is SO much simpler and a better design than the Black and Decker one I bought my Dad. I hate his.

Terrible and tacky
by perhentian ,Nov 25 '04
Pros: Cheap Cons: The coffee output quality
This really is a poor relation to any decent coffee machine. I can't imagine they can market this as a decent coffee machine.
They tried to release this product on the Continent, but it failed miserably the first time...it is painful to see that they are re-marketing it again to some success.
You are currently forced to by one type of sachet, so the pleasure of trying various coffees is not available to you...this might change in time. The coffee is also pretty weak.
I hear reports from friends on the Continent that they use a chemical in the sachets to generate the "Crema"....that says it all!

Great taste
by walkerwins ,Sep 28 '06
Pros: Taste great!!! Cons: Expensive coffee!
Travel mug won't fit under dispenser.
Coffee taste great but very expensive. Also, a "travel mug" will not fit under the dispenser which is not a good thing for this commuter. It's nosier than any other coffee maker I have ever used.

Yuck!
by kleewong ,Dec 16 '05
Pros: Quick Cons: Coffee taste no better than instant.
I love a good cup of coffee--premium beans, coffee house quality--and wanted a simple way to make it a single cup at a time. I thought that was what I was getting when I purchased a Senseo coffee maker. It is quick--about 30 seconds--it does have a foamy top layer, but it tastes like instant coffee. I have tried all different varieties--French roast to medium to flavored and the results are the same--yuck! I am totally disenchanted by their system.
