It's basically Uniden's previous model CXAI5198 with a welcome (albeit purely cosmetic) complete makeover. See my final ("upshot") section for the few things I don't like about this respectable product.

This is a phone that performed well and stays clean. We never used most of the features it has. We used it as a basic second phone.

"Like New"/"refurbished" specimens of this not-so-recent model remain available from online vendors. It's a satisfactory corded phone with a likable answerer and LCD; however, its standard speed-dial-number directory's disappointingly dinky.
