Pros: Good acting, good action, good energy Cons: Not a cohesive whole, with pacing and script problems
Summary: It is sometimes easy to fall into a routine - and all of the bad habits that accompany that routine. Dale Denton may have a good job as a process server, but he also has a passion for smoking joints. If he could tell you, he'd probably say he does it, ... read more

Pros: Fuuny moments, crazy plot, marijuana Cons: the beginning confused me
Summary: Pineapple Express, when watching the trailer, I didn't really feel the urge to go to the theatres and watch this movie. I ended up watching it at home when it came out of theatres. I thought it was a pretty decent movie, I had some good laughs. ... read more

Pros: Big laughs, James Franco steals the show, it's fun to see Rosie Perez get punched. Cons: The violence could be too much, some plot points are left hanging.
Summary: Although highly anticipated by me, I worried going into the screening of this movie tonight that I might not enjoy Pineapple Express all that much, especially after the positive, but not thoroughly enthusiastic responses I received from some old ... read more

Pros: Hilarious jokes, Franco, some great acting Cons: some scenes drag on too long, and what's the point of the opening?
Summary: Pineapple Express is a seriously weird movie. It's a stoner flick, a comedy, but it also manages to get quite violent as well, almost a mixture of stoner flick and action-comedy. It's also funny as hell, though there are a couple of slow spots ... read more

Pros: Funny, Hilarious Action Scenes, James Franco! Cons: Displays and Even Encourages Drug Use
Summary: Marijuana seems to be such a romantic drug, doesn't it? I mean, there are quite a few movies based solely on the drug and the effect it has on the characters in the film. Dude Where's My Car, the Harold and Kumar movies, Dazed and Confused, and others ... read more

Pros: Funny in parts, James Franco Cons: Poor casting, too long, too many deadspots, poor dialogue
Summary: Plot Summary: Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) is a 25-year old process server with a 17-year old girlfriend. He is reluctant to meet her parents and with good reasons. One is that he’s 25-years old. Two is that he’s a stoner. One day Dale visits his dealer, ... read more

Pros: Well, it's funny... Cons: ...But sometimes predictable and too insular
Summary: Some people out there will legitimately, intellectually love Pineapple Express. It is not a movie that functions on immediate, gut-busting reactions -- actually, many of the slapstick and gross-outs and cheap and predictable. Instead, some of the ... read more

Pros: Franco and Rogen Cons: Most of the rest of the cast and the writing
Summary: I went to "Pineapple Express" on the recommendation of my stepdaughter (age 23) who said the movie was hilarious. I had already seen trailers for the film and thought it looked funny. I enjoy most of Seth Rogen's films (I liked "Knocked Up" much more ... read more

Pros: Rogan and Franco together are great Cons: Comedy can be over the top, some of it is really dumb
Summary: Pineapple Express is the latest Seth Rogan and Judd Apatow production. Very much in the same vein as Knocked Up and Superbad, this action buddy film is funny and at times hilariously funny, but also very silly. It's marketed as a ... read more

Pros: Rogen and Segel are great. Consistently funny script. Cons: Lacks the character depth evident in Apatow's best work.
Summary: Judd Apatow is certainly the best thing that has happened to adult oriented comedy in a long time. Not only did his previous films (40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up) prove that you could make money without resorting to cutting everything possible to get a ... read more

Pros: Lots of comedy and action Cons: Promotes drug use
Summary: I’ve seen plenty of stoner comedies, like Dude, Where’s My Car or any of the Cheech and Chong movies, but never before have I seen a stone action comedy. That’s just what you’ll see in Pineapple Express, an action movie with tons of ... read more

Pros: Great Laughs Cons: Sketchy moments in plot
Summary: Well I got to board the Express today! It's a pretty ridiculous movie, there have been a lot of comedies released this summer. But Pineapple Express had a lot of hype about it and it not surprisingly stuck the landing. Now I'm not saying it's the ... read more

Pros: Pretty solid little plot and a wonderful James Franco. Cons: The villians are not nearly as funny as they should be.
Summary: A movie like PINEAPPLE EXPRESS should not be expected to be talked about in the same breath as CITIZEN KANE or GONE WITH THE WIND. However, it has nonetheless ascended to near the top ranks in its own particularly little sub-genre: the "pot" comedy. ... read more

Pros: Very funny and entertaining movie. Cons: I'm starting to feel like I've seen this previously form Rogen and friends.
Summary: I was lucky enough to win an advanced screening to this movie. It was a fun movie to see in a party atmosphere. Everyone should know Judd Apatow by now because he has become a household name with such classics as The 40-Year Old Virgin and ... read more

Pros: -Rather funny at some points Cons: -Weak character and plot development
Summary: I really was not impressed with this movie as an action movie and even less as a comedy. However, somehow as a young adult, I can relate to the struggles the characters go through both with the law and with society. The main character, played by Seth
