With this in mind, Pioneer developed a new DVD Writer with Disk at Once, Packet Writing; the transfer rate is 1X for DVD-R Writing at 1.385 MB/Sec and 2X for DVD Reading at 2.630MB/Sec. The drive opens the way to huge capacities of 4, 7GB, 3, 95GB per side of a DVD-R disk.
