Pros: Cheap. Cheap. Cheap! Gym membership for the average person. Lots of Machines. Cons: None for me.
I think everyone who is writing negative reviews is an experienced gym goer. I have to admit I have been pretty lazy for the last couple of years and have hardly ever gone to the gym. I'm not fat but I'm not very muscular yet. I think these are the type ...

Pros: planet fitness is not a place for jerks! it's for regular folks! Cons: the only con is getting around the jerks who still come to planet gyms!
i keep hearing, reading all the bad vibes about planet fitness.....being "this and that" since it used to be "this and that" (or gold's gym), etc...... and most if not all the comments are from the types of MEN who have way too much testosterone for ...

Pros: cheap Cons: lack of equipment, crowded, rude staff
Wen i first joined there i thought, wow this is really nice. It was clean and had a large selection of equipment including free weights. The only con I noticed at first was that the dumbells only went up to 80lbs, and there is no box to squat on. My mom ...

Pros: Guest privilege, tanning, and massage chairs Cons: one year commitment, start up fees, and annual rate guarantee fees

Pros: It's the puppy mill of gyms Cons: crowded, no frills equipment
I was looking for a cheep gym where I can go to after work where I can get in a 1 hour weight session with my teenage son. I didn't need or want to pay for any fancy "perks". Basically I was just looking for a gym of the equivalent of one ...

Pros: Clean toilets Cons: You will never be comfortable in the "Judgement free zone"
My husband and I joined planet fitness despite many negative reviews we had heard from other people. We really thought it couldn't be that bad. We went 5 times and my husband was talked to about setting a rubber weight down on the rubber mat. Apparently- ...

Pros: Cheap Cons: Credit Card numbers are thrown everywhere, contracts are lost continuously
As an employee I am very disapointed in what I got myself into. I am a poor college student at Towson University trying to juggle 18 credits and a part time job. Our planet fitness opened a few months ago, and I was told that I would ...

Pros: Pay the $50 startup and go with the $10 month plan. Cons: Dealing with the staff is like dealing with a high preasure car dealer.
Everything look good as you drive by that big sign on the side of the road, and what's not good about a gym that only charge $10 a month? Thats what my wife thought when a friend asked her to go to the gym with her. I am not a big gym fan, I really ...

Pros: Free tootsie rolls....yep, that's about it for pros. Cons: Staff, flexibility, attitude, etc.
I signed up for World Gym in Franklin, MA, because I had read bad reviews of Planet Fitness. Little did I know it would turn into Planet Fitness only a month and a half later. They decided not to tell anyone of the change until the first day of the ...

Pros: Cheap Price, No Contract Cons: Lack of Management accountability, subtle discriminatory policies, inexperienced staff.
I am a Planet Fitness member who was asked to remove my toboggan while working out last night at the gym. I was told wearing a toboggan is prohibited inside the gym. Alternatively, I was advised that baseball caps are permitted in the gym, ...

On the 25th of Sep 2008 I accompanied my boyfriend to the Planet Fitness branch in Claremont (Cape Town SA) in order for him to cancel his contract. He was asked to submit his request in writing which he then did, and handed to the person at the ...

I've been going to the Planet Fitness in Amesbury, MA for a month now and I love it. I wasn't sure what to expect for only $10 a month, but it has exceeded my expectations. I paid $15 to try the gym for one day to see if it was a good fit for me. ...

Pros: The gym is cheap, the machines work every once in a while Cons: dirty, hot, stuffy, employees unhelpful and rude, equipment never works, no help, weights suck.
First off, I believe that planet fitness has a little scam going. In my town, they advertised that they had one gym open with another one soon opening. The one soon to open was close to our house, and the other, was across town. We decided to join the ...
