Good Bang for the Buck!!
by aznboi3644 ,Feb 17 '06
Pros: good amp, cheap, gets the job done well for the price Cons: no bass remote, other than that none yet
Well I just received this amp today and hooked it up in my 98 explorer. Bridged the amp to two 10 in old school Fosgate Punches.
I bought this amp because I needed a pretty well built amp for less than a $100. I got this amp off of www.audio-warehouse.com for about $91. They have great service and answered all of my questions within a day.
Overall I like the style of the amp. It looks simple and does the job. What I don't like about the amp is that it is not capable of installing a remote bass controller. But, I can't expect too much from a less than $100 amp.
The amp I had before this was a Jenson 720 watt amp. This Profile HA1000 seems a little more powerful and more efficient than the Jenson. This amp even sucks enough amps to make my headlights dim on the hard hitting songs.
Just hooked 2 brand new Alpine Type R 12's to this amp and it handles it no sweat at 2 ohms stereo. Pounds the hell out of them with the power it pushes.
Good amp. Buy it.
