I Resolve to Keep the Chairs Clean!

by mmcphee Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Mar 18 '07
Pros: Works great on my upholstered chairs
Cons: I'm not impressed by its carpet cleaning
I am ready to turn my house over as a testing site for stain removal products. I have three built-in mess makers that are capable of making anything and everything dirty. One of my best battles has been the dining room chairs facing off against ...

Do it Yourselfer

by masterangler , Apr 15 '05
Pros: It worked perfectly in a minimum amount of time.
Cons: Squeezing the bottle to dispense equal amounts of the compounds.
I own an apartment and recently a tenant(who has now moved out)allowed their dog to urinate(without my knowledge)indoors. I suppose it was just laziness they didn't want to let the dog out or left it alone for long periods of time. Anyway, the odor in ...

Makes Your House a Home

by daRealDeal , Mar 09 '04
Pros: nice smell, not harsh to my allergies
Cons: not a miracle worker; some stains simply require divine intervention to get up...
I have had cats all my life. They've lived in the house where I grew up, and I think we've all done our part to funk up the house worse than a bunch of Frenchman. The house makes skunks put in overtime! I used resolve, however, and already I smell a ...

Resolve Carpet Cleaner Has Resolved my Messes!

by ellis222 , May 16 '03
Pros: Easy to use, powerful, no heavy chemical smell.
Cons: Does not work well on all types of cat "messes".
I have purchased several variations of Resolve Carpet Cleaner including the spray, foam and dry (granule)versions. I prefer the spray version the best, as it has a better smell, and has given me the best results.

I should seriously...

Works good, but has limitations- Resolve Carpet Cleaner

by patch3boys Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Apr 18 '03
Pros: Lifts dirt, grime and food stains with ease.
Cons: Can NOT be used on vomit or urine stains.
Yes, I am one of those hard headed women who just had to have light colored, plush carpet put into my house. "No, problem!" I arrogantly said "I can handle it just fine!" Oh brother, what on earth was I thinking. (Does this kind of wisdom just...

HAVE YOU TRIED RESOLVE ON YOUR FURNITURE, YET?

by calwaone Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Apr 18 '03
Pros: IT'S MORE THAN A RUG CLEANER...FURNITURE, TOO!
Cons: NONE
I use Reckitt & Coleman Resolve Carpet Cleaner on more than my carpets. I have found that it is an excellent way to rid most fabric furniture of spots and would-be stains. The secret, with fabric, is getting the spray onto the accident as soon as...

Resolve products work.

by shananny , Mar 11 '03
Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: Too much and you've got a wet mess.
While I think Resolve spray is okay, I have found it easy to spray too much and end up with a wet, foamy mess. However, I would be lost without Resolve's High Traffic Cleaning Granules--the one with the scrub brush on the side of the container. My...

Pros: Gets out tough stains, unbelievably appealing scent, easy to use

Resolve Carpet Cleaner

by BryRrose Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Feb 12 '03
Pros: It will get out the stains!
Cons: If you use too much you will have a mess.
For as long as I can remember I have always kept a bottle of Resolve Carpet Cleaner around my house. Initially, I only used Resolve on the carpets in my home. I found Resolve to be a quick cleaner for tough stains and spills. I added my cars to the list...

A sticky mess with overpowering smell
by sharonmoak ,Oct 21 '09
Pros: I can't think of a single pro to this product.  It's a mess!
Cons: Sticky, overwhelming smell, attracts more dirt after treatment than before
I used this product on two stains about 10" in diameter a week ago and still haven't been able to remove the sticky, perfumy mess.  The stickiness is gradually attracting more dirt than the untreated area around it.

A professional carpet cleaner told me to spray a LITTLE blue Windex on stains then wipe up.  It's much cheaper, smells better and works wonders!

Resolve Triple Action is Great!
by mpoole5 ,Sep 08 '08
Pros: works fast! smells good too.
Cons: none!
We just installed new carpet and I was moving the inkjet printer from the garage back into the office. It must have gotten too hot in the garage for the ink cartridge because it had turned from powder into a very black runny liquid. The black ink dripped a trail across the carpet and puddled on the floor by the desk before I noticed what had happened. I was in a panic!! Thankfully, with two applications of Resolve Triple Action and a little pressure, all of the ink came out! The carpet looks good as new! I'm a definite fan!!

Foam Resolve
by pbruderer ,Mar 03 '08
Pros: what pros?
Cons: FOAM resolve big disapointment
Used 'foam' resolve on a soft blue carpet. Turned carpet a greenish-yellow color where it was sprayed. Had used the Resolve 'spray' on carpet before with no problems. Called manufacture who told me to use vinegar and water on yellow stain. Not working. Help?

Did not resolve when I used resolve
by resolvemess ,Feb 07 '08
Pros: Since my carpet is ruined, I see no pros. Can't recommend.
Cons: Took the color out of carpet even though I did a sample spot with success.
I bought this product to remove some coffee spots out of the carpet and also to remove juice spots that had dripped from a sippy cup by the baby. I used your product as suggested. At first all appeared fine. As time went by, where I had used Resolve the carpet got lighter and lighter. Now there is a distinct color difference from where I used Resolve Triple Action Carpet Cleaner. What a mess. Every time the carpet is cleaned the spots seem to grow. I had also done a spot test which proved to be useless in the long run. It would be nice to be able to contact the company by e-mail. They have an 800 number, but my home phone is a cell so it doesn't really do me any good because even with an 800 number I use minutes.

GREAT CLEANER
by nanniehibbs ,Jan 08 '08
Pros: GETS RID OF ANIMAL STAINS WITH LITTLE OR NO SCRUBBING AND CARPET ODORS
Cons: THE SPRAY BOTTLE PINCHES THE WEB BETWEEN THE THUMB AND 1ST FINGER. PLEASE FIX IT.
I'VE BEEN USING RESOLVE SPOT REMOVER FOR SEVERAL YRS AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. THE STEAM CLEANER IS WONDERFUL. I HAVE JUST SPRAYED A SPOT (EVEN AFTER IT HAS SET) AND JUST LEFT IT AND THE STAIN IS GONE. MY SON HAS A LARGE SPOT ON HIS FAMILY ROOM CARPET FROM AN INCONTINENT DOG HE HAD AND HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET RID OF IT. I USED RESOLVE TRIPLE ACTION PRETREATMENT AND THEN THE STEAM CARPET CLEANER AND NOW IS GONE AND HASN'T COME BACK. AFTER CLEANING ALL ODORS ARE GONE AND IT SMELLS VERY FRESH. I NOW STARTED USING THE FABRIC CLEANER AND NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WORKS GREAT ALSO. BEFORE I KNEW ABOUT THE FABRIC CLEANER I USED THE CARPET CLEANER ON A COUPLE OF SPOTS ON MY COMFORTER AND IT WORKED. I DIDN'T EVEN SCRUB IT, THE SPOT JUST DISAPPEARED. I BUY AT LEAST 1 BOTTLE WHENEVER I GO TO THE GROCERY STORE SO I ALWAYS HAVE IT AT HAND.

Resolve Triple Action Carpet Cleaner
by judyuzzetta ,Nov 24 '06
Pros: It has worked well on every kind of carpet stain I've tried it on.
Cons: No cons. It's great stuff!
Last Spring, I moved into a new house. There were terrible, dirty stains on the carpet. I had a professional carpet cleaning service in twice to clean, but the stains just came back as soon as the carpet dried. I thought I'd have to get new carpet. I'd always used Resolve Triple Action Carpet Cleaner at my last residence with great results, so I figured I might as well try it. I was amazed that it completely removed the dirty stains with just one application. These stains were in high-traffic areas, and even though we walk on the previously-stained areas constantly, the stains have not reappeared. Resolve is incredible!

Resolve works on soap scum and tile & grout
by greeneclean ,May 23 '06
Pros: Triple Action Resolve has a nice scent, no harsh fumes & gentle on hands.
Cons: Revealing your secret to the public. :-)
While searching to find a cleaner to remove soap scum off of glass shower doors I came across a comment from a consumer. I personally have tried a number of products; I even used a flat edge razor to shave off caked soap scum since nothing else seems to do the job. A bottle of Resolve carpet stain remover was all that was needed. With no effort at all Resolve did the trick! Spray, wipe with a stainless steel sponge, as this will not scratch the glass, and rinse results in every bit of soap scum to come off without any harsh scrubbing action. Resolve works great on soiled tile and grout too with the use of a grout brush. This has been a blessing not to mention the time & effort it saves.

This product will never enter our home again!
by moresavvy ,Sep 15 '05
Pros: Using it showed me what products WON'T enter my home again.
Cons: Incredibly hazardous to your health, in ways the label warnings won't tell you. Beware.
We bought this product to clean tough food and urine stains on light carpet. It seemed to help remove stains, but the negative effects on our health are not worth any cleaning benefits! The fumes were horrendous especially in the room where the product was used. Within a few hours my trached, medically fragile daughter developed a cyst-like bump the size of a nickel at her trach site (and shrunk back down the next day). My husband developed headaches and nausea and I had trouble with my eyes and balance. Coincidence? No. My husband and I are healthy and rarely sick. I KNOW the chemicals in this terrible product affected my brain and its ability to interpret what my eyes were seeing; I was still having trouble after going outside for fresh air. I am horrified that I subjected my family to such a hazardous product and will be much more vigilant in the future.

ultimate stain remover
by egyptjenn ,Sep 09 '05
Pros: works great removing stains from clothes
Cons: cant think of one
I have never used Resolve to get a stain out of the carpet. I always use it to get stains out of my clothes. It doesn't stain my clothes or draw out the color at all. Follow the directions on the spray bottle or aerosol can as you would for carpet. I've gotten months old ink (from a tattoo) out as well as food stains and whatever else. I try to inform everyone of how well it works on your clothes!

Ruined 2 rugs - Costs $1,800 per use
by cvandoren ,Jul 10 '05
Pros: Removes stains
Cons: Ruins the rug in the process
I used the foam to get stains from two light colored carpets in my house. Stain gone. Great!

Except... Now the areas I used the resolve attract dirt like a magnet. The exact areas I sprayed the resolve are now brown stains on the carpet. Really bad stains. I have had them professionally cleaned twice, to no use. I now have to replace the carpets, one of which is 23x12 and was 15 months old.

God I love this stuff!

Removed blood stains from cream-colored carpet
by mimiwill ,Oct 05 '04
Pros: Removes blood easily and completely if directions are followed
Cons: Spray nozzle sometimes requires several pumps to work; too much Resolve will leave a puddle
Not one week after we installed cream-colored plush carpet, our cat huntress brought a rat inside, secluded herself in a walk-in closet and proceeded to devour her prey, leaving only blood stains and a tuft of rat hair as witness to the massacre. When we discovered the remains, I reached for my trusty spray bottle of Resolve, hoping for the best, but not expecting much, because the stains had been there several days.

I followed the directions carefully, spraying only a very small amount, waiting 3 minutes, and blotting (not scrubbing) the stain with a clean sponge. After two applications, the stains were gone with no trace. Yippee!
