Robinson Crusoe was the man, man

by updateghost Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Feb 15 '06
Pros: Story. Narration.
Cons: Last 30 pages are eh.
In a world of White Stripes and Radioheads, it's always good to have Beatles. Likewise, in a world of Brown-comma-Dans and Crichton-comma-Michaels , it's nice to have Defoe-comma-Daniels. Reading Robinson ...

Defined as a classic but not a great classic

by jermanie , Aug 25 '02
Pros: enjoyable, provide insights, good ideas, teaches survival
Cons: too religious, impassive, no psychological depths, skimmed a lot
Robinson Crusoe is an enjoyable story. I thought it was a nice plot. Also, Daniel Defoe spoke of survival skills and how Robinson applied the techniques as means necessary for his survival. There was no analyzation of Robinson at least on psychological...

Best Adventure Book!
by mediamst ,Apr 07 '04
Pros: Very fun, realistic, classic
Cons: NONE
This is the best of the adventure books in my opinion. I think it beats Treasure Island, and Moby Dick. You will really feel like you are there with Poor Poor Crusoe if you let yourself. What a fun read. Exciting till the end, you cant wait to find out what happens next.

Robinson Crusoe has rebelled against his parents and it leads him to eventually be stranded on an island in the middle of nowhere... For a long long time.
