Dell Latitude CPi

Pros: Very comfortable when sitting on the desk.
Cons: Not something you want to park on your lap.

I got this laptop from my company to dailin remotely.
My experience with laptops before this one is a little sony Vaio that i bought from my

friend a while ago. Comparing to Vaio it is bigger, heavier, but also has more stuff in it....

Pros: Spectacular screen, good keyboard, utterly ridiculous battery life.
Cons: Rather heavy, looks kind of boring.

For me, Dell computers have always sort of been the holy grail of nerd gear. They work great, and they don't cost you an arm and a leg. The Latitude CPi is certainly no exception.

On the exterior, the CPi looks like your usual boring black...

Pros: Easily available, inexpensive solution
Cons: Older and slower, somewhat bulky compared to newer machines

UPDATE: I did some minor upgrades to this old machine including adding 64 MB of RAM (total of 128 MB now) and a 10.2 GB hard disk (The old one died). I am happy to report that WindowsXP Professional runs very well on this machine despite its age. Boot...

Pros: Dependable. Moderately lightweight. Runs Windows 2000 with no problems.
Cons: Better on desktop than in your lap.

In the past 15 years, all of the computers I have owned have been Dells. They are truly reliable and affordable. Also, Dell Service is very good. Unlike IBM who could care less. My boss has an IBM laptop and it has needed re-imaging twice in the past...

Pros: cheap, good screen, dell support
Cons: not as fast as nb's of today, mem updrade is alot
