| The new Philips CDD3600 is a CD-ROM x6 drive that in addition lets you create your own CDs on classic and economic CD-R media. Also this is the first recorder on the market able to write and to rewrite on the new type of CDs (CD-Rewritable / CD-RW). It's easy to use just as a floppy disk! The new Philips drive writes and rewrites files at a speed of 350 KB/sec. The CDD3600 automatically identifies the type of a CD and applies the own average parameters of each type. Classic CD-R discs are 100% compatible with more than 600 million CD-ROM drives and CD-Audio drives, installed at the present time, and also will work in many of the new DVD-ROM drives. However, new CD-ReWritable discs can often be rewritten and are read-compatible with new drives called MultiRead. This type of drives is able to read both CD-ROMs and DVDs. |
