Pros: Absolutely NONE Cons: Their reps have NO idea how to do their job.
October 8, 2003 I called SBC to order a basic phone package along with DSL service. I was on hold for about 20 minutes before I got a customer service rep. She was polite and very thorough with all the information. I gave her my info and within 20 minutes ...

Pros: Large company that promise to bring on the complete residential communication solution to everyone Cons: Reality: SBC is always right, it is the customer that's wrong.
I ordered both the landline & DSL service for my new home through SBC 8/13. The customer service rep told me this is a one stop shopping -ordering both landline, long distance & DSL from SBC will be a complete solution for me. Now I think this got to be ...

Pros: Can use their nationwide dial-up numbers, easy setup. Cons: Horrible customer service, unreliable connection, one year contract, $200 termination fee!
When my cable internet service was going to jack up its prices, I decided to switch to DSL. Supposedly it was supposed to also be fast and reliable, plus they had a deal where it would be $34/month for 6 months. What a huge, huge mistake I made.

Pros: One word... SPEED! Cons: Periodic connection lag, software may conflict with certain applications
I have heard of the pros and cons of having DSL, but from the discouraging reviews of SBC Yahoo!DSL, I suppose these reviews are based on gearheads/techie experiences. Since I'm neither, I'm glad to say I've had no problems with it thus far.

Pros: In some areas can be billed on your phone bill. Cons: Lack of customer service and technical support skills among their associates.
I live in Southern California, where SBC was formerly called PacBell. Awhile ago, their internet services merged or otherwise linked with Yahoo (both dial up and DSL). It was a marriage made in ... well, not heaven.
The amount of spam mail...

Pros: Fast internet access at a good price with easy setup. Cons: I can't get my wife off the internet so that I can use the computer.
I signed up for SBC Yahoo! DSL before I read the epinions reviews by other users. Then I read the reviews and started feeling queasy--it certainly appeared that everyone else's experience had been a sleigh ride through hell. Nonetheless, I didn't...
