Pros: none Cons: Slow service with no knowledgeable tech support.
Summary: I should have known that, just like the old adage, you get what you pay for. I first signed up with SBC YAHOO dsl in June of 2003. It is now 6 months later & my service is still slow with no end in sight to the company's half-baked tries in resolving

Pros: A lot of information to trick customers to sign up Cons: Bad customer service, SLOW NETWORK!(256kbps DELUXE DSL CANNOT do WEB CONFERENCING!!!!!)
Summary: DO NOT SIGN UP FOR the 1YEAR PLAN!!! THEY WILL CHANGE YOUR DELUXE (already SLOW ENOUGH) DSL to STANDARD SLOWEST DSL IF YOU SHIFT HOUSE, to another apartment 5 miles away. DELUXE DSL CANNOT DO WEB CONFERENCING!!! WONDER if it is REALLY 256kbps. CAN WE

Pros: free dial-up, 24hr customer service Cons: customer service is so SLOW, unhelpful, and put you on hold for hours
Summary: SBC Yahoo drives me insane. I was quite happy with DirectTV DSL - but they had to sell themselves to SBC. In Feb 2003, I signed up for SBC Yahoo - and was unable to connect for 2 weeks. Then I was on their support for 9 hours - and they didn't fix my

Pros: good uptime, easy setup Cons: poor newsgroup retention, hidden charges
Summary: I switched to SBC Yahoo from Earthlink to save money. The promotion was $26.95 per month, but when I checked my first phone bill (there is no option to pay by credit card when you sign up), they slipped an extra $8.42 "Sales & Use Tax" line item under my

Pros: Early heart attack due to stressful situations talking to SBC Yahoo DSL personnel. Cons: SBC Yahoo DSL are the biggest con artists. They only want your $$.
Summary: From my personal experience, you get what you pay for. SBC Yahoo DSL is 26.95 a month if you sign up online. It sounds like a killer deal but it isn't worth it. I wouldn't accept this service even if it was free. When you talk to a live person via phone,

Pros: um, nothing. Cons: everything
Summary: Well, don't let the cute name fool you. After all SBC simply replaced the very tarnished name "Ameritech", which was and still is a terrible company. Hmmm, where can I start? Service and speeds go up and down everyday. Spontaneous log offs from inte

Pros: Reliable connection. Cons: Will change service without notification and charge you without billing disputer recourse.
Summary: I signed up for a service under SBC Yahoo. They changed their services, changed my class of service to an upgraded service and a higher fee without asking me, then charged me the difference. It took me over a week to get the service changed, and then t

Pros: Cheap DSL service with frequent blackouts and hidden fees. Cons: The worst customer service in the industry. Less than helpful to their loyal customers.
Summary: I was recently billed $200 for early termination. Just because I moved to a new address and wanted to delay my reconnection. They have many hidden costs. The DSL connection takes a vacation every once in a while. They have more blackouts than anyone else.

Pros: they sure sent the modem in fast... Cons: below dial-up speeds, officious customer service reps, after multiple calls dsl problem is unresolved.
Summary: Have just left Optonline (in Stamford, CT) after 2 years to move to SBCYahoo DSL. Big, big mistake. DSL is cheaper ($29 vs $45/mo) but, the dsl pppoe connection goes down very frequently (3 days out of the last 5) and i have to go through officious servic
