By far under-rated by Sprint - phenomenal product!

by mpepsilon , Nov 28 '01
Pros: Small - lightweight as the m505. Well-thought through design and functionality. Worth every penny.
Cons: Is $500, but is perfect meld of phone and Palm.
The Samsung SPH I-300, or PalmPhone as I will call it is probably the greatest meld between a Palm PDA and a CDMA Sprint phone. This phone is about the thickness of the m505, and a little bit taller, but this is by far the finest product that uses a...

Great little package

by poelmanc , May 31 '02
Pros: Tri-mode cell phone, color Palm Pilot, web & email in a small package, Outlook synchronization
Cons: Graffiti writing requires some practice, dim screen in sunlight, poor speakerphone pickup
I had been wanting one of these for several months, I almost held off when I heard that Samsung is coming out with a new version of this phone, but that appears to still be many months away and will have mainly cosmetic changes. I've been very happy with...

Samsung I300

by russellk , Oct 11 '01
Pros: Compact, stylish, well contructed phone. Long Battery Life
Cons: nothing yet.
[Update 10/22/2001]
A software called MegaDoc crashed on me and I had to soft reset but some how it got hard reset. MegaDoc works very well but sometimes it crashes where I have to hard reset. Soft reset isn't possible. I am exploring getting...

Love this phone

by brainerd , Oct 14 '01
Pros: Finally! A successful marriage of a Palm and Cell Phone.
Cons: Few. Battery life is good, but a daily charge is needed.
I was always frustrated by the need to carry my cell phone and Palm. This phone combines both devices in a compact and useful device. No longer will I need to input phone numbers into a new cell phone.

*** Great Features ***

Wow! Buy this phone.

by masonuc , Oct 17 '01
Pros: All-in-1, thin, great speakerphone, 8 MB and color, OS 3.5.1
Cons: A little too big, some problems with 3d party apps, bugs, stylus problems
I've only been using this phone for 2 days, so my review will be somewhat limited. First, let me say this: the pictures on samsung.com don't do this phone justice. It's a lot smaller than you think -- especially if you were turned off by the Kyocera...

Hello ... your Palm is ringing

by dtoombs , Nov 03 '01
Pros: Converges phone and PDA - no more carrying two devices, speakerphone, excellent sound quality.
Cons: Screen could use a bit of help, Palm/Phone integration not 100% yet
Hi, you can call me Batman.

At least, that's what my friends have taken to calling me from time to time.

Why do they do this? Is it because I'm a wealthy multi-billionaire with a secret crime-fighting alter-ego? Hardly. Is it...

The best of both worlds

by derekdmoore , Nov 14 '01
Pros: Your world at your fingertips;Dial from Address book;Voice dial;PDA while on speakerphone
Cons: Hard to use one-handed; Goes to sleep (screen) while on speakerphone.
Samsung has achieved a tremendous success with this product. For those that rely on a PDA to keep their lives organized and occasionally need to use the phone this product is perfect. For those that are constantly on the phone (but not of course while...

Every 'Santa' needs one.

by imgr82day , Nov 20 '01
Pros: Legible screen, large touch pad with full function Palm OS, and high quality digital phone.
Cons: If you have big fingers, you'll need to use the stylus to make phone calls.
It's the perfect stocking stuffer...oh, wait a minute...I think you'll need to stuff one of these in your pocket before the holidays arrive. Because everyone knows, 'Santa' will be busy communicating with the elves to fulfill those holiday wishlists,...

The best palmphone available

by ruttrigvag , Nov 26 '01
Pros: Combines color palm & cell phone, full web browsing and email access
Cons: no USB syncing..., sprint does not provide SMTP services for sending email.
Lots more info at http://www.sphi300.com

The only device out right now that basically combines a Palm VII and a digital phone while adding color.

I upgraded from a Palm VII and a StarTac phone to this device. You can use any PQA...

One Of A Kind Love Affair

by Chess613 , Aug 08 '02
Pros: Best phone/PDA you could ask for - it's the best technology can offer!
Cons: will freeze on you; bigger than most phones
Here's what happened: I had a Qualcomm phone that lost its antenna and I wasn't getting any calls coming in on my phone (the caller would be sent to my voicemail and a half hour later, I got a message) - not only that, I foolishly threw my PDA in the...

Samsung SPH-I300

by randygrenier , Apr 03 '02
Pros: Palm Pilot and phone in one unit,
Cons: May be inconvenient if you don't want to use a Palm device.
It’s been a few months since I purchased a Samsung SCH-I300, so the new-gadget thrill is pretty much over. As it turns out, I use the PDA features of this phone every day, and the phone has proven itself to be quite useful. I use this phone with the...

Samsung I300 - Time to take the plunge

by norcalal , Jan 30 '02
Pros: Excellent merging of 2 technologies into one cool product.
Cons: Screen quality in bright sunlight, Serial based hot sync cradle.
When I first heard of this product, I was skeptical that it could live up to the hype - having used the Handspring Visor Phone, but not the Kyocera. The Visor phone was sooooo bad, that I was tainted, but I knew a lot of that had as much to do with the...

Finally!

by Draggar , Feb 03 '02
Pros: Great reception - great color
Cons: Can be a little confusing at first
Finally!
After NeoPoint put out their 1000, after LG put out the 3000, and after Kyrocera put out the 6035, there is a PDA/Phone that I can say is a really good unit.

Samsung has always been one of the leading manufacturers of mobile...
