Pros: Price, looks, functionality, low power consumption, GSM, works in Europe, durable Cons: "Travel" charger not suitable for travel, sound quality/reception could be better
Summary: I had been a Verizon Wireless customer for 3 years and wanted to get a better phone and better sound quality. I am also going to Europe for vacation, so getting a GSM phone would be a good idea I would be able to use the phone in Europe as well as i ... read more

Pros: Very good reception and battery life Cons: No color screen
Summary: My old Sony Ericsson T300 recently had problems and T-Mobile offered to give me this phone as a replacement. It does not have all of the features of my old phone, but then again, I hardly used those features, so this was OK with me and better than ... read more

Pros: Sturdy ~ still working with my kids using it daily! Cons: Can hit the lock key without knowing it
Summary: Two of our cell phones are the Samsung SGH-R225. They were one of the free choices when we changed plans. We have had them both for over a year now, and have yet to have a problem with either one of them! WHAT THE PHONE LOOKS LIKE ... read more

Summary: Let me tell you where I'm coming from......When I look for a cell phone, I'm looking for a mobile communication device. Something I can use to keep in contact with my family & job. I don't buy it as a games machine, I have a PS2 for that at home, and ... read more

Pros: Great coverage, very light, lots of features Cons: Ring tones, $35 activation fee
Summary: For the longest time I always wanted to get one of those cool color-screen flip type phones with the neat polyphonic rings. However, my bank account wanted something else. Before I got the Samsung SGH-R225, I had a heavy and bulky Nokia 5000 ... read more

Pros: Small, lightweight, easy to use, ringtones, AOL instant messenger, blue light Cons: Battery life
Summary: I got this phone to replace my Nokia 3390 (see my review on that beast of a phone), as it was too big, and far too heavy for my purse. A friend had this phone, so I was able to ask a few questions, and gather a few information before I purchased it. ... read more

Pros: Very easy to use. A lot of bells and whistles. Cool looking. Cons: A little pricey though.
Summary: I switched to the Samsung R225M over the NOKIA 3390. Voicestream isn't the best service provider and the NOKIA made is that much worse. I came across the Samsung model at a local Voicestream store and has made life just a little bit easier with the ... read more

Pros: Lightweight. Inexpensive. Straightforward. Excellent on the basics. Not necessarily for "power users." Euro-compatible. Cons: Not as high-tech as other costlier models. Vibrating ring could be stronger.
Summary: I have used this phone for approximately 15 months on Voicestream (now T-Mobile). I think the 225 is a superb "basic" phone. Slim, light, great backlighting, and, in my opinion, good sound. Fits nicely in lapel pockets. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg ... read more

Pros: Free in most cases, lots of features, AOL IM client. Cons: No face protection, have to manually set clock and date, weird email setup.
Summary: When I was with MetroPCS I used a SonyEricsson T206 which was a pretty good phone, but I could not justify having to pay $40 per month for the level of service that I was using (and getting). So I went and started looking for a different and cheaper prov ... read more

Pros: blue backlight and multiparty Cons: background noise irritates people on other end
Summary: I received a pair of Samsung R225 phones in the summer of 2002. I had been a nokia user for years, but reluctantly made the switch to samsung. The reason I say "reluctantly" is because I HATE the Nokia 3390 phone.
