Great improvement!

by Draggar , Oct 24 '01
Pros: Big improvements made over previous models
Cons: A little pricey at $180 now. No tri-mode capability
When we got in the Samsung N200 we were a little reserved on promoting this handset. We saw the problems that the 3500 had, and were afraid that since it had a very similar design, the same problems would pop up.

We expected to see a lot come...

The Upgrade to Samsung's Great 3500 - The SPH-N200

by vein Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Sep 20 '01
Pros: Lightweight, Sturdy, Great Options
Cons: At $199, still more than most are willing to pay
Shopping Around

In mid-August, my beloved Samsung 3500 began it’s last weeks of life. At over a year and a half old with heavy usage, I figured the time would be here sooner, rather than later. When the speaker of the phone began...

Here's a phone worth upgrading to.

by rally1 , Jan 14 '02
Pros: Durability, size, style and screen.
Cons: No voice recorder, different battery to old phones.
As an existing SprintPCS customer I had to replace a broken Samsung SCH-3500. The N200 has all the strong points of the 3500, with a couple much needed improvements.

I'm going to gear this toward those planning on upgrading, and make...

Great phone, could use improvements

by topor2bynethin , May 04 '02
Pros: Great size, color, features, somewhat easy to navigate
Cons: High priced, easy to lose (the belt clip/holster doesn't hold the phone
The belt clip/holster doesn't hold the phone too well. My phone has fallen out of its clip several times leaving it scratched up a little. You'd think that if Samsung could make a cell phone that costs $150 that they could make a better clip/holster....

Free????

by drbrousters , Dec 16 '03
Pros: Price, "phone-yness", improved design - the Flip part is sturdier.
Cons: none for what I wanted, but the reception is not as good as my 8500.
It was time for my wife and I to move to 2 phones. We had happily been with SprintPCS for several years and wanted to maintain that account, but didn't want to spend alot of money for a second phone account and were looking at pre-paid card phones. After...

Good update of 3500

by zgirl8 , Dec 24 '01
Pros: Metal flip, slightly smaller than 3500, sounds better, bigger phone book
Cons: My first one was defective! Retail price is too high.
This phone is an updated version of Samsung's 3500. Users may know that this phone was great EXCEPT for the fatal flaw: a flimsy flip that eventually cracks and breaks off (I know 3 people this happened to!).

The new N200 cures this with a...

A practical, no-frills, and affordable phone for the non-business person.

by laswaigas , Jul 17 '02
Pros: Large screen, one-touch volume control, joystick
Cons: Does not fit well in case, difficult to remove car recharger socket cover
Most people blame the clarity of calls on their phones, when in fact the service provider, your position in relation to an antenna, your surrounding, and if applicable, the earpiece all contribute.

Even in big metropolitan areas, with ANY...

Samsung SPH-N200: A bona fide winner

by rnamba , Jan 28 '02
Pros: Easy joystick navigation, sleek casing, well-designed features
Cons: Somewhat pricey, may measure signal strength inaccurately
A Review of Samsung's SPH-N200

I purchased this phone about a month ago, and am very pleased with it. I look primarily at three things when searching for a phone: aesthetics, features and functionality. I've divided this...

Samsung N200---Great little phone, and the price just came down

by s_trimble , Dec 24 '01
Pros: Great reception; great sound quality; packed with features; really a powerhouse little phone
Cons: No games? Battery life might be a trifle suspect
I recently purchased an amazing little cellphone: The Samsung N200 Blue for use with Sprint PCS wireless service. I had needed a new phone for a while, and had my eye on the n200 because of some positive word-of-mouth and online window-shopping. But...

Very Happy with N200 Dual Band

by dprov35 , Dec 06 '02
Pros: Size, Clarity, Value of the phone now that it is an "older" model
Cons: Ringers, Not all buttons are shielded by flip case.
This is now my 5th phone while using Sprint PCS service over the last 4 years. This one is clearly the best. First let me say that I only paid $60 for this phone at Ebay, so shop around, you can find one very cheap right now.
This phone has amazing...

Love this Phone! If only Sprint were designed this well.

by castrostreet , Sep 03 '02
Pros: Comfort, Call clarity, Good design
Cons: WAP browser, Sprint
I have owned 9 previous models of cell phone from Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson and Audiovox. This was my first Samsung. I was never too hot on Samsungs other consumer electronics products so I was a bit leery when the kid at best buy told me this was the...

One of the best deals around!

by thejman , Feb 18 '02
Pros: Price, looks, clarity, features!
Cons: Battery life not as advertised
I recently purchased this phone at Best Buy for a mere $80. I think it’s a pretty good deal, as they were having a sale. Nonetheless, so far I have found this to be a great phone. The clarity and signal strength is excellent. Everybody I’ve talked to...

Samsung N200 - best CDMA phone for under $200

by mike_chimirev , Dec 24 '01
Pros: Joystick makes going through menus a blast. Has meny PDA features.
Cons: Doesn't measure signal very well, T-9 "word guessing" software is annoying.
I've had my Qualcom 2700 for about a year and a half now, and it took tons of falling, kicking, and smashing against the walls. But just when i thought the phone was indistructable and left it on the gym floor, somebody successfully landed a dumbell on...

Samsung SPH-N200

by ned23 , Aug 04 '03
Pros: Good sound quality, easy to use interface. Easy on batteries.
Cons: Reception is middle of road. Better than most, but not as good as the best.
I've had this phone for 2 years. The best thing about the phone is the loud and clear sound quality. ...

The worst phone you could ever possibly buy!

by ehemp3 , Jul 06 '02
Pros: It's blue. Well, mine was, at least.
Cons: Worst reception imaginable, laden with useless features, no downloadable ringtones
I bought this phone the very first week it came out, and at first I was only a little disappointed. I had "upgraded" from a Sanyo SCP-4500 (a fantastic phone, in my opinion) to this new Samsung because I was enamored with its looks.

That was...
