So far, it's a superior choice. Allows easy film use in the digital age. by dmk9561 Pros: Excellent speed and image quality, good price, holds 12 negatives.
Cons: Difficult initial setup for me, odd resolution choices, small number of slides fit. I bought this scanner to scan negatives, as I had it's predecessor (HP reviewed on here as well). Overtaxed by its features by dmk9561 Pros: Inexpensive, acceptable scan quality and speed on paper objects
Cons: Insufficient image quality for scanning negatives, awful software, unreliable I bought this product with high hopes, but it's seriously damaged my faith in HP's imaging products. I am usually not this emotional over a scanner by chocolatiada Pros: Good quality scans.
One button makes PDF creation easy Cons: Saving to JPEGs is not as easy I do not have a lot of space on my desk for a bulky scanner. If you're not in a rush, it works wonders by max302 Pros: Compact. Relatively cheap for it's features. Fast scanning.
Cons: Tricky 35mm holder. Minimalist software. Requires 3rd party software for good results. I've started shooting film again with an old hand-me-down SLR to practice my skills as a photograph in general, to get myself to think more about each shot before I pull the trigger and refine my aptitudes at quickly aquiring and framing a subject, ...
