When I moved to Dallas in 1995 I had never attended a Renaissance Festival. Not long after getting here I was told about Scarborough Faire (or "Scarby" to the regulars). I've been every year since. I'm not sure if it's the acts, the food or the atmosphere that keeps me coming back, probably a combination of all three.

Though I've never been on cast (the group of underpaid and overworked enthusiasts that keep the Faire running) I have been privileged to know many of them, and a merrier group I have never known.

Acts like Daniel Duke of Danger and Don Juan and Migel are not to be missed.
