Pros: Excellent picture quality, just as good as last generation's model with some good fixes. Cons: Dynamic contrast feature might be annoying to some.
To start off, I want to let you all know that I have (had) the LC-32D41U and this TV is VERY VERY SIMILAR to that one. You can read my review on the L

for more background information. But to sum it up, the ...
Pros: Great picture and well-engineered features. Cons: Dynamic contrast feels like a gimmick more than a feature
I recently purchased this Aquos and have had it long enough now to offer a reasoned opinion. I was torn between getting one of these Sharp units or a cheaper brand like Vizio or Olevia. In the end, I made my choice based on the reputation of the Aquos ...
Pros: Nice looking, good picture quality Cons: Durability, slow switching between channels
This tv worked well for the first year but then all went to hell...of course, after one year warranty expired. We purchased this tv in March of 2006 to upgrade from our old 20 inch tv. Other than a lag in the picture/sound display when turning the ...
Pros: Good product but important limitations Cons: Product price and anticipated repairs make the cost of ownership very high!
This is a good TV and I purchased it after lot of research and recommendation from consumer reports. 2 years after purchase the sound issues are present. The TV loses sound about 10 minutes of being 'ON' This has happened to a handful of people - see reviews on this and other sites by google search. This seems to occur independent of model or year of production. I talked to SHARP USA and as of June 2008, the company has not acknowledged this defect. I will advise you buy at least 3 or preferably 5 year warranty. I will have to spend about $300 in repairs. Recommend other brands SONY or a cheaper alternative.
I purchased our TV in august of 2006. A few months ago we noticed a burnt spot in the upper right hand corner. We did buy an extended warranty that is good until august of 2009. The repair service just informed me that it needs a new LCD panel that is no longer available. Now they are waiting to hear from G.E. to see how they are going to handle this. I will not buy another Sharp TV. Too much money was paid for a TV that less than 2 years later cannot be repaired.
Great TV! Worth the reasonable price. by mlmichigan ,Sep 04 '07
Pros: Great picture quality, especially HD, good brand reputation. Cons: None so far.
I have had this 32-inch TV for almost 6 months so I can now give an informed and educated opinion. Bottom line - it's a great TV. I had a nightmarish experience buying a 32-inch Polaroid which was about $300 cheaper but broke after 2 months, and the frustration of dealing with their repair and customer service departments was off the charts. Eventually I got my money back and decided to focus more on the quality than the price. This TV has both - not terribly expensive, but so much more reliable. Picture quality is fabulous, especially the HD channels, which in some ways look better than on my 52-inch! I am not a guru in terms of technical terms (Pixels, 4:3 ratio, etc.), all I know is, the research I did on the brand stated Sharp was very reliable and the set has been great so far. Major "thumbs up!"
