I've had better video quality and next to no crashes (compared to Pinnacle Studio 8) using Cyberlink's PowerDirector Pro and Screenblast Movie Studio. Better programs and much, much faster.

Not worth it, looks like it, but their history is the same - release buggy software and make it up with patches that may or may not work for you.
