Pros: Inexpensive, great sound, and a lot of features Cons: Seems a bit flimsy with the CD player door

Pros: Good price, full features-CD, Cassette,AM/FM radio.
Cons: Sensitivity and selectivity are terrible. Sony does not even list the specs
The CFD-SO1 has a remarkable set of features that are not offered by other manufacturers. The fact that it has both a CD and cassette along with the AM/FM radio was a feature I was looking for. The incredible low price for all of this was another plus. ...

Pros: Brand name Cons: Programming, Sound quality, FM reception and selectivity.
I wanted an FM radio first and foremost for my office, and this is where this unit falls flat. The radio sensitivity is among the poorest I've ever experienced. Only the very strongest stations play without static, and on most stations I can hear "bleedover" from nearby or stronger stations.
Programming the presets is nearly impossible. Despite what the instruction manual says, you cannot put a specific station into a specific preset location. It's like a TV that scans for stations on cable - except after the first 20 stations, all your presets are full and it didn't even cover the entire FM band.
The sound quality is poor. Despite the moniker "MEGA BASS", there is very little bottom end. The 3" speakers sound tinny and cheap.
