Pros: small size, great sound Cons: fm radio reception not the best
This little thing runs on 4 AA batteries. Use
the nickel-metal-hydride rechargeables. The
sound with mega-bass on is remarkably detailed,
and clean, while the total sound output is
quite surprising considering the tiny size and

Pros: Very small, takes AA batteries. Cons: Makes a clicking sound when playing many CD's.
I was so impressed with the small size of this boombox that I rushed out and bought one. The fact that it takes AA batteries instead of D batteries is also a nice feature. When I got it home, I was very happy with the sound. However, when I put in my...

Sony personal audio system
by kalig101 ,Jul 30 '08
Pros: sleek, small - perfect for a place with minimal space. only 4 AA batteries needed Cons: was unable to use the CD player part of it. made too much noise
I bought this model because it is sleek and doesn't take up too much space. Perfect for my office space. I think it was about 1 - 2 weeks of using it, the CD player started to get noisy. I found that if I laid the player down, the noise would go away. After some time, I needed to press down on the front part of it to stop the noise - and if the CD has a thicker printing on it, never mind playing it. I been satisfied with Sony products before but felt that buying this one was a total was of money.

Sounds great - and it's tiny
by eastender ,Mar 31 '04
Pros: Tiny, cute and sounds great Cons: None so far
I recently bought a Sony boombox from their LIV line - it's the same as this model but it's white. I'm very happy with it. The boombox is tiny but the sound is not. It takes up only a sliver of shelf space and it can be run with either battery or electricity. I'm very happy with it.
I will pass along this info, though: I read reviews elsewhere on the web that mentioned that some folks had a hard time with the top-loading CD player and found it to be fragile. So far, I haven't found this to be a problem.
