Sony DAV-DX315 Theater System

Pros: Attractive system, fairly easy hook-up, good speakers
Cons: underpowered, no aux inputs

This is a great looking, easy to use system with one major problem, it's underpowered. To be able to fully appreciate a 5.1 DVD soundtrack the volume must be turned almost all the way up (to at least 25, using Sony's benchmarks; it only goes up to 30) in an average size room. Another drawback is that the system has no aux inputs other than a mini jack on the front panel.
