Pros: Small size, good lens, 0 Lux rating, Bluetooth connectivity, crystal clear LCD, Memorystick slot. Cons: The AC charger cannot charge a second battery. Only 8MB Memorystick included, expensive
My Buying Decision.
I currently own a DCR-PC7, which after 4 years, is finally starting to get senile. The picture sometimes shows distorted patches. It gets a temporary fix with a dry head cleaner, as per instruction manual. After...
Pros: Compact design. Functions and adjustments. Only weights 1 lb. 4 oz. Cons: Price. Hard to zoom. Awkward to hold.
First off, let me tell you that I am an electronics nut. I don't care how much it is, if it is new and it is from Sony, I am there. Also, we just have our newborn boy and I want the best pictures/movies we can take. As for the pictures, I just purchased...
Pros: Pocket size, Excellent video quality, lots of features Cons: will steal your heart
I bought it a month ago in Europe. Its an expensive camcorder compared to all the others in the market but lets not fool ourselves: Its one of the best especially because of its small size. It has super-excellent video quality with very sharp and clear...
Pros: Superior picture quality, features, ease of use and Made In Japan. Cons: 90 Day Sub-Standard Warranty.
Sony's DCR-PC120 is the exact same camcorder as Sony's DCR-PC115 Camcorder but minus Sony's 'BLUETOOTH' features (Bluetooth provides you with the ability to send emails with picture attachments to friends and family via a wireless mode). It's also...
Pros: Design, picture and sound quality, bluetooth feature, reliability, control layout, LCD picture Cons: Instruction Manual not very clear, should be more easy to follow and understand
What a wonderful little camera. It has one of the best pictures and sound I have ever seen and heard. Extremely easy to use. Very beautifully made, as with all Sony products. My last camcorder was a vintage Sony CCD V5000 that was a semi professional Hi8 model. It had a lot of features only found in pro models. What a surprise to find that the PC120BT has the same features as the V5000 and a thousand times smaller!!! Also, the quality of the still pictures is very good. A surprise for a camcorder. And the bluetooth feature makes it really complete.
Check out this camcorder before you purchase it...Does not live up to the praises of advertising...Video is grainy,,mike location picks up your breathing as you record...zero memory, a necessity when searching for start point of last recording, available only thru remote..Previous ownership of PC 110 and familiarity w/ DCR PC 50 has same poor grainy video...This is a design flaw that can't be rectified...Sony's reaction to this is "Were sorry...

i was most impressed with the sony camcorder.
My experience of this fine piece of machine told me it is a gift from the heavens. I found the camcorder to be light weight and easy to take anywhere. the picture resolution is awesome give a 500 lines of resolution. the carl zeiss lens makes it excellent in cutting picture glare down. the still shots are very good and it comes with 4mb memory stick , which is equilvant to 60 frames of shots. the firewire connection is nice for quick d/l and the camera like it's predecessors has 0 lux capability on it's night time infared shot. the distance is about 8-10 ft but still it's better than a light beaming on someone. more convient part is it's capability to edit and make different effects to the camera., eg. black/white, sepia, mosiac, etc.i luv it and you will not be disappointed with it 2.

This camcorder has just about all the things you need to make excellant movies as well as still shots. The battery is rechargable and it is light weight enough to be easy to handle. The price range is good as well. The sound quality is good. I like it very much.
I was earth shattered by the astounding qualites of my sony camcorder. My experience of this fine piece of machine told me it truly is a gift from the heavens. I found the camcorder to be light weight and easy to take anywhere. A big plus to have a small camcorder if you like to travel. The picture resolution is awesome giving the regular digital standard for mini-dv being 500 lines of resolution with a 10X optical lens. Although, you are sacrificing it's the size of the optical lens for it's overall companct size; 10x optical still gives nice shots for faraway shots. The carl zeiss lens is what makes it stand out, which is excellent for cutting picture glare down. The camera like it's predecessors has 0 lux capability on it's night time infared shot. The distance of night shot is about 8-10 ft in pitch darkness but it's still better than a light beaming on someones face. I luv it and you will not be disappointed with it either.
enjoy,
James
