Final Fantasy VII for PlayStation 1

Pros: Beautiful music, great characters that you'll fall in love with, and fun to play.
Cons: The ending was somewhat disappointing, it was lovely, but I expected a bit more.

I loved this game, the music, the story, the graphics, the game play, the characters were all amazing, and changed the face of gaming forever, especially RPG's. Leave it to Square (at that time) to raise the bar mighty high, today you have games like that Oddysey game on XBox that are copying Square's blueprint. It took me a long time to beat the game, but it was well worth it. I love the "Materia" system. Now if only Squarenix can re-make this beautiful game for the PS3, fellow RPG fans would be in heaven. Disc one was my favorite disc of the three discs for the game, and I couldn't get enough of the music for the game that I went out and bought the soundtrack.

FF7 is the greatest R.P.G. EVER. If you haven't played this game, you are missing out on one of the best games to ever grace any platform. The use of materia, which gives each character its own special abilities are amazing. The boss fights are challenging and exciting. I hope one day they remake this game for the new platform and with the new available graphics.

Pros: pretty much everything in this game is a pro.
Cons: only that it was 10 years ahead of its time.

Final Fantasy 7 was a turning point in game development. It mixed great gameplay, a compelling story, amazing sound/music, and cutting edge graphics to produce one of the best games of all time. ive had it for 9 years now, and I still love starting over and playing thru again. anything positive said about it is a an understatement.

Pros: Great Storyline, Battles, and Characters.
Cons: Graphics kinda squarish like, but lifelike on clips.

I can't quite explain how fascinated I am with this game. Because I am a big fan of FF games, but what I noticed is that this is the best game and version of FF games. The graphics may not be as good as games nowadays, but the storyline and everything else is crazy. I mean isn't that what video games are for, how good the game is. You should definitely get it for experience and collection.

Cons: Gameplay is not perfect and characters on screens are "blocky".

Final Fantasy VII was first FF with 3D-graphics. Many people got shocked, because it was so different than earlier Final Fantasies, but still: after playing the game few hours it takes you totally: You can make own choices more than ever, materia system is very amazing because it has so many possibilities to make the life of the game longer: you can combine materias with over million ways and fights stay interesting if you try beating enemies in different ways. Game is also possible to make very challening by dropping all the materia away. Only boring thing is when you are raising a gold chocobo (optional) and you have to ride chocobo many times in a row in same two tracks. Otherwise the game is perfect and you can spend many years by collecting all. Graphics are very good anime-style, but on screens characters are "blocky". Nobuo Uematsu did again a great sound track for the game and cinematics are good, specially the ending.

Pros: Nice music, richly varied characters, many places to explore
Cons: Materia system, World Map, Battles get annoying

Final Fantasy VII. Once a mile stone for the videogame industry, always one. However, not that good a game. Though the characters are all diverse which is interesting, and the summons are pretty good, I guess, and the music is excellent.. Final Fantasy VII is not the greatest game of all time. The storyline can get confusing at times and it's so easy to get lost on the ridiculously crappy world map. Character development is rather poor, but the minigames can keep you pre-occupied, I suppose.
At the time of course, these graphics were incredible. But at today's standards the graphics are awful. Cut scenes are undetailed and aren't so exciting. The materia system is pretty annoying, and the summons are boring and take a little bit too long.
Some battles become unbearably irritating and long, and it's pretty easy to get kicked around, and it gets very annoying. It's really not such a good game.

Pros: awesome graphics,incredible gameplay.
Cons: not on PS2

This is by far the best game ever made. It's graphics are unparelled(for a playstation game) and should defintely be remade on PS2. I beg u squaresoft please please remake FF7 on PS2

I dare anybody to give me a better game. Thinking about this wonderful experience makes me speechless. The only reason why I bought this game was because my cousin told me it was an "amazing" game, so I got it. The year is 2004, and I still think it has the best graphics, gameplay, and superb storyline. There's so much to do! Weapons, collecting weapons and limit breaks, chocobos, and materia! I got FF7 three years ago, and I still play it. This is not a renter. It's a buyer. Don't listen to the people out there saying it's a bad, worthless game. I been playing games for ninety percent of my life, so I know what I'm saying. BUY IT NOW! AT LEAST FIVE COPIES!!!!!!

FF7 is the best RPG game ever. The plot is amazing it is much better then 8. Even though some of the graphics are bad. The battle system is very simple. The material system is very complex and might take the whole game to understand it. The monsters names and what they look like are great. Sephiroth is possibly the coolest looking character ever. The summon material is awesome. The concept of ultimate material is great. The characters and how they act is kind of what you would expect from their image. This is the best Final Fantasy game I have ever played.

I don't get this game at all, and I'm expecting to be piled with NotHelpfuls for this review, but I really do not understand why anyone wouold wanna play a gamne where the graphics are THIS TERRIBLE!!!!! And why the heck does every single nerdy idiot in the world give it 5 friggin stars!? It's horrible, people! The soundtrack has one good track, the graphics are dumb, the characters act like they've all taken morphine, jolt cola and engine fuel all at the same time, and the battle \/materia system, said to be the best of any FF game EVER is so horribly underproduced that I cannot stand to bear this game. Bad Squaresoft, Bad.

And my friends, who are all brothers to me, tell me that they're in love with this game, that it's the "Best FF Game Ever". Even Mike, the smartest guy in our group thought that this was a beautiful game. I deppalshctib him for it.

buckeyes1186 and swordofriva don't know what they are talking about. This is my favorite game. Ive played it many times and beat it many times, I think is the BEST Final Fantasy EVER and that's that!
