Cons: Sony will not honour warranty. Price high. Does not out perform cheap copies.

We use a Sony DCR-TRV9E in a Light and Motion Stingray housing for underwater DV. The original battery eventually died after 3 years of frequent use.
We replaced the battery with an original Sony Infolithium as per the manufacturers instruction. We are DV experts (underwater) and are very sad to report that this battery is way below standard. In fact after circa 10 charges / discharges the battery is already shot. We reported to the official Sony agent where we purchased the battery and they have informed us that the warranty will not be honoured.
BE WARNED
