Pros: Excellent acting, writing, music and special effects Cons: Some "leaps of faith" required for the story
Summary: "Spider Man 3" is, in some ways, the most difficult of this film franchise to analyze. I saw the movie and noon today amidst a huge opening day crowd and felt that there were a variety of moods shown by the people as they left. Some seem satisfied. ... read more

Pros: Maguire; Dunst; Franco Cons: Clunky writing; obvious plot devices; visually and emotionally dark; good actors underused
Summary: I didn't grow up with lots of comic book superheroes. Maybe that's a girl thing. But I've always loved Spider-man, from the time I first met the web-crawling hero years ago. My soft spot for Spidey may seem a bit strange, given my arachnophobia, but ... read more

Pros: Spider-Man, does whatever a Spider can Cons: Too long and messy
Summary: It is no simple task to adapt comic books into film. Super hero stories make their own kind of sense printed on pulp paper wedged between glossy covers, but they do not always transfer seamlessly to other media. The plots can easily seem absurd when ... read more

Pros: Tremendous action sequences/special effects Cons: Too much going on, Venom felt like an afterthought, laughable dialogue, little character development
Summary: Out of all the various Marvel titles, Spider-Man has got to be my favorite. Spidey is the God of all super-hero's in my opinion. I thoroughly enjoyed the first installment in this franchise, due not only to the amazing action ... read more

Pros: Topher Grace plays a cocky and arrogant Eddie Brock, and pulls off Venom. Cons: Not enough villain time, and the conflict between Peter and Sandman ends to easily.
Summary: Well it's finally time for the third installment in the Spider-Man series, and it's a doozey. This time around Spidey is pitted against not one, not two, but TWO AND A HALF VILLAINS!!! The sandy yet slippery Flint Marko aka. Sandman, the viciously ... read more

Pros: Terrific action sequences, top-notch special effects. Usual fine acting from Maquire and JK Simmons. Cons: The big confession towards the end. James Franco's acting. Mary Jane's whining.
Summary: Spider-Man, Spider-Man
..what more else can they do with Spider-Man? Well, the answer to that would have to include tying up loose ends from the original film from a few years back, plus add some more from the comic book storyline, even ... read more

Pros: Visual Effects. Touching scene at the end. Cons: Too many villains. Peter/Mary Jane romance doesn't get enough screen time to fully develop.
Summary: If the makers of comic book movies dont study history, then theyre doomed to repeat it. Such is the case with Spider-Man 3, which finds itself trapped in the same murkiness as the subpar Batman sequels. After the success of the original Batman, ... read more

Pros: Action, CGI is unreal since LOTR Cons: Who's fighting who? Why? What did it cost me?
Summary: Action, action, action. But hey, maybe some of the sub plots would have been better served in Spiderman 4. And what happened to the rippage from Spidey 1. We're looking more like Seabiscuit than Peter Parker. Overall, worth the dollar movies or drive in ... read more

Pros: Spiderman is filled with action and is not long and drawn out. Cons: The end kept you wanting more.
Summary: Who would have 'thunk' it? Spiderman having a bad side? Well, when placed in the right situation at the right time, all of us are susceptible. The protagonist, Spiderman, who is a sweet, handsome, optimistic gentleman, changes roles as sometimes villain, ... read more

Pros: Full of emotion, strong character development, great villains, Many touching and comic moments Cons: Fake looking special effects, Lack of a central character, Not much action
Summary: I am a huge fan of the Spiderman series. I was delighted when I learned a third film was being made. The first was great, and the second even better. It's not often that a sequel is better than the original, but Spiderman pulled it off. I was thinking ... read more

Pros: A satisfying conclusion(?) for the Spider-Man saga Cons: Boring villains, cheap writing

Pros: The cast is good, as is the dark Spider-Man Cons: The film tries to accomplish too much
Summary: Peter Parker has grown used to the changes that have come with becoming a web-slinging hero. Not only does it bring him recognition among the citizens of New York, but it also makes Peter feel more responsible for them. Still, he has to make time to be a ... read more

Pros: Ties up some loose ends Cons: Too crowded. Too long. Too much like every other lousy blockbuster.
Summary: Trilogies seem to be the rule in Hollywood. Every blockbuster series aspires to be a great trilogy, and they all seem to stumble at least once. After creating the brilliantly character-centric Spider Man, and a worthy sequel which amped the action (the ... read more

Pros: Decent action in spots, good special effects, Thomas Haden Church Cons: Too many plot lines, too much time undoing past mistake, several actors seemed bored
