Pros: A lot of fun to play! Cons: FF9 was a little bit better.
If you haven’t already read my epinion on Final Fantasy 9, then you wouldn’t know that I used to absolutely hate all RPG’s. (Until I played FF9) The first RPG that I played was Final Fantasy 9. I loved that game so much, that I decided to buy Final...

Pros: Lush graphics, depth, lots of playtime. Cons: Nonsensical, fragmented plot. Annoying music and characters. Steep learning curve.
One word comes to mind when I think about Final Fantasy 8; Complex. Pretty much everything about this game is complex and complicated. Oh, there are a few simple things in the game, such as basic navigation of the world, and some of the combat system,...

Pros: Creative design, highly detailed environments(backgrounds more use). Lots of CG movies. Cons: Has some flaws in the game. Drawing system of magic takes forever depending on issues.
The plot was understandable (for me anyways), packed with action, customize your characters (level them up to become stronger, use magic to make them more efficient in different areas, like defense, speed, ect.), fight, fight, and fight some more to ...

Pros: Graphics, Diablo summon, Pocketstation compatibility (lucky importers) Cons: No local Pocketstation sells, gameplay, infinite boredom, I wasted 50 bucks on this

Pros: Awesome graphics, better character development than in FF7 Cons: confusing junctioning system
Released shortly after the successful Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8 has had many a FF fans turn their noses up at it. The reason why? Because they don't believe it's a TRUE Final Fantasy game because there's no real fantasy involved. My thoughts on...

Pros: it's deep like the ocean, and the j-pop song is OK too Cons: the final boss has 4 forms to beat. real time graphics are a pixilated mess.
ladies and gentlemen of the videogame playing jury. I am a guilty man, i am guilty of loving this game. i am guilty of loving this game so much, that it ranks as no.2 of my top 5 favorite videogames of all time (with no.1 being final fantasy 6). and it's ...

Pros: Epic storyline; excellent graphics (for the time of release); great soundtrack. Cons: The story becomes too drawn-out and convoluted; 4-discs is just too long.
It's possible that no "Final Fantasy" game has ever provided more fodder for heated debate than the series' eighth installment (and second for the Sony Playstation console), appropriately titled "Final Fantasy VIII" (FF8). What made the game so...

Pros: Engaging story-line, interesting characters, side-quests and other things to do to enhance the game as well as the story Cons: I'll get back to you
Hmm, maybe because gamers say "Final(ly)!" when one of these renowned rpgs is released! Just like the Hitchhiker's "trilogy", the Final Fantasy series is an increasingly misnomered rpg series, though I'm not complaining. Final Fantasy...

Pros: Graphics, FMV's, music, 4 CDs Cons: Story's a little weak
Final Fantasy 8 is a great game in it's own right but it doesn't totally live up the previous games. Now don't get me wrong, I loved this game and think it's great, it's just that I enjoyed some of the other ones more.
Story
The theme...

Pros: Great characters, stunningly beautiful graphics, addictive card game, fun gameplay Cons: Repetitive GF summons, plot could be better
I'll admit it-Final Fantasy 8 was my first in the series and my first RPG. Although I have a huge collection of video games, Im probably not what one would see fit to label a *hardcore* gamer. With my miserable attention span, I typically need ...

Pros: outstanding graphics, good sound, Zell Cons: below mediocre story, somewhat boring characters
Final Fantasy Eight is one of those games that will make you look back on your life and wonder…why the blue hell did I ever buy this game? While it's not terribly horrible, it is a big disappointment from a company that usually produces solid, quality...

Pros: Beautiful CG scenes, Rinoa, Intricately written story. Cons: Okay, so some of those scenes are a bit unbelievable. How far away is that moon??
You know how long I've been waiting to review this game?
Two months.
You know why?
I can't stand not finding all the secrets and things to get in a game.
Amongst other things.
I borrowed Final...

Pros: Great Graphic Cons: Pretty much everything else
I have been an avid fan of the Final Fantasy saga ever since the American release of the first game in the series on the NES (1990). I had played similar RPGs at that time, like Dragon Warrior, but it was Final Fantasy that really hooked me on the Role...

Pros: Graphics, Music, Card Game Cons: Weak Character Development, Lack of a Strong Villain
Final Fantasy VIII, a game that's received more than it's share bashing. Why, you may ask. Is it really that bad of a game? Or was it just the fact that it didn't live up to it's popular predecessor, Final Fantasy VII? Hopefully,...
