Pros: Graphics, unique battle system Cons: Too many people hate this game for the wrong reasons
I recently started playing my copy of Final Fantasy 9. I would have liked to have written a review of that game, but I don’t want to be one of those who reviews the game before he is finished with it. So I decided to go with a review of Final Fantasy 8...

Pros: Great game Cons: Lacks in a few areas
Under the suggestions for writing an Epinion, one of the first is to tell the reader 'why' you bought the product. Well, that's about pointless for this review, 'cause I'm sure that just about EVERYONE bought this game not because the commercials were...

Pros: Great graphics, some of the added features Cons: Draw system is terrible, GF's are too powerful, most changes were for the worst
Like all other die-hard RPG fans out there, I can't wait to get my hands on a brand-spankin' new version of Final Fantasy. Unfortunately this time, I was a bit too enthusiastic. Actually, the only thing that saved this game from flat out sucking...

Pros: the graphics, uh, the characters were OK, the fact that Squaresoft made it Cons: Squall, Squall, Squall, plot is thrown everywhere, a little easy
WARNING: THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS HERE AND THERE, BUT NOTHING THAT WILL RUIN THE GAME, SO I DON’T KNOW WHY I AM WRITING THIS, EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT IT’S A SHAMELESS EFFORT TO TRY AND MAKE MY EPINION LOOK LONGER THAT IT IS, EVEN...

Pros: Graphics, characters
Cons: Storyline somewhat surpassed by fellow Final Fantasies
Squaresoft, the little company that made it big. Made popular by its amazing Final Fantasy series. And now we are blessed with the 8th game, however some people believe it to be a cure, I ask why? I found this game an amazing combination of human...

Pros: Very nice to look at, addictive card mini game, and a re-working of game mechanisms. Cons: annoyingly addictive card mini game, way to much CGI and layers of in-game menus
Final Fantasy 8, a breakthrough in graphics for the Final Fantasy game family, pioneer of new gaming mechanisms, an one annoying game.
The game begins with a CGI sequence full of feathers, a mysterious asian girl in a long blue coat, several...

Pros: Story, Graphics, Sound, Rinoa Cons: Squall, the over dependance on Guardian Forces
The eighth installment of the flagship series upon which all RPG's are judged upon isn't really a disappointment, but it isn't really as revolutionary as it should be. I know several Final Fantasy loyalists that were with the series from the beginning...

Pros: Gameplay, storyline, music Cons: Graphics
Final Fantasy 8
When you first hear the words “Final Fantasy”, you think of RPG. That’s a totally right response. Final Fantasy 8, I think, is one of the most different Final Fantasies ever. It totally gives FF games a new name. The FF...

Pros: Spectacular graphics, exciting and soothing music, and a really great story. Cons: Too non-linear
Square Soft hits the Playstation hard, and I mean HARD, with Final Fantasy VIII! The most anticipated RPG of 1999, Final Fantasy is a great ride and a great RPG. It may be too non-linear, but it is still a solid game, possibly almost flawless.

Pros: Grahpics are awesome... Cons: Everything else sucks.
If one is willing to commit enough time and effort, I will admit that getting to watch the end of FFVIII is worth the effort of going through one of the worst RPGs I've ever played (and one of the few as well). The only thing is, you have to play...

Pros: Good graphics, unique character system, engrossing. Cons: Thin plot for how long it is, some bad sub-plots, SELPHIE!!!
Ah yes, the Final Fantasy series. Let me be honest here: besides Zelda, there isn't a series that has had so many great entries. I anxiously wait as each new Final Fantasy game is announced... Or at least I did up until Final Fantasy 7. I don't...

Pros: outstanding graphics, realistic battles, and an interesting plot Cons: can be tedious at times
I have read some of the other reviews, and I get the impression that not many people feel the way that I do about this game. Final Fantasy VIII is the first Final Fantasy game that I have played. I had no idea what exactly I was getting into. The...

Pros: Unique battling and magic system, great music to listen to, colorful and detailed graphics, compelling story, very interactive, tons of side quests and addictive mini-game, aloy of movie clips, only $20! Cons: Music is very repetitive and can get annoying, love plays too much a part in this game, story a bit confusing with all the time travel and sorceresses.
Every gamer knows that Squaresoft owns the RPG market, and this eighth installment of their best-selling series proves it. If you played any other RPG, you would know that they're all similar. Do you still remember how to play that RPG? Good, now throw...

Pros: graphics, sound, FMV's, length Cons: storyline
I wanted to play this came so desperately when I first rented it. I loved Final Fantasy VII (my favorite game along with Star Ocean: The Second Story). But this game disappointed me. It was great in most points just it didn't exceed the greatness of...

Pros: Simply a superior game, the best of the Final Fantasy series in every aspect Cons: Slightly complicated game system with many changes from past Final Fantasy games
Squaresoft had an incredible hit with Final Fantasy VII and has somehow managed to surpass it with the latest installment, Final Fantasy VIII. Having had the game since its US release and played it multiple times, I can assure you that Final Fantasy VIII...
