Frank Matuszek's Review on FF8
by frankester ,Feb 19 '06
Pros: Triple Triad Game, Sidequests, Junction system, CGI movie clips and GF's. Cons: Nothing
This is a truly great game. You have unprecedented level of control in the characters. The triple triad game, the GF's and the sidequests are a great bonus to the game which just adds to the excellent storyline. I bought this game after an exhilerating experience on Final Fantasy VII, which was as interesting and as gripping as FF8. I absolutely love the sidequests; the Obel lake mystery, the UFO mystery and the Card Quests; Queen of cards and CC group. I also like the card game. The rarer the cards the better the items to exchange become. With the control of the characters any enemy is a piece of cake to beat. The Final Boss; Ultemecia can be beaten in 4 minutes, thanks to the Junction system and the GF's!
I truly enjoyed this game, so I bought it again and I have now completed it nearly 5 times now. Excellent Game.

My All Time Favourite RPG
by carnag3 ,Aug 04 '05
Pros: All the characters esp. Squall and Rinoa, Graphics, Music, Storyline, Tough/Nice Battle System, Ending Cons: Story gets a little deviated from its original concept that it projects earlier
The Game is simply awesome , if ur not mesmerized by the graphics, u surely will be taken in by the storyline and the lush characters. Its made an excellent use of the childhood dilemmas of a boy who had always bin alone until 1 day when a girl changes everything in his life.. something ill never forget .i may have some sentimental feelings for this game but it surely is a legend in its series.. A MUST BUY

Final Fantasy VIII Top Rate
by rkc6206 ,Nov 18 '03
Pros: Graphics, magic, items, continents. Cons: Stories get too emotional sometimes.
Excellent Role Playing game. You start out working your way up to being a SeeD member. A SeeD member travels to many continents exploring towns and dangerous lands. Many times when you face and defeat an enemy, you receive helpful items. You can also Draw magic from enemies. As you obtain Guardian Forces known as GF, you gain abilities with Ability points. GFs can learn to steal rare items from enemies. GF can learn abilities to refine items into even more rare items and magic. You also remodel weapons with hard-to-find items. You will have other parties to help you through your journeys. You gain Experience points by defeating enemies. This will raise your strength, magic, vitality, spirit, luck, evade and more. Experience points also raise your hit points known as HP. HP is your life status. You will also need magic and items to cure party members when they have been hurt, poisoned, blinded, petrified, zombie, put to sleep and more. This is a must have game. This game has more types of magic and items than any other game I have ever played.

ratstail91's review of Final Fantasy 8
by ratstail91 ,Dec 20 '05
Pros: Twist after twist will keep you guessing until the very end. Cons: Be careful because if you miss something you might not be able to get it!
Final Fantasy is the best game i have ever played. all the twists in the plot and the guardian force(GF) ideas are amazing! the trick is to look every where, leave no stone unturned and you will find every thing! But be careful sometimes if you miss something you cant go back for it. The basic plot is about Squall, a SeeD cadet and a light hearted girl called Rinoa. in the end they fall in love (yuck!) but because of so many different things they don't really know it. With the help of Zell, Irvine, Selfie and Quistis they must travel around the world, fight evil sorceresses and even travel through time to save the world. You can never tell whats just around the corner. So get ready for the time of your life with final fantasy 8!

When this game first came...
by game_master_dt3000 ,Dec 30 '02
When this game first came out it was pretty good. In 1998 it was the game of the future. It is pretty fun but gets way to boring in Disc 3 and beyond. After you got Odin even if you have low levels the game becomes a snap. I mean my friend had LOW LEVELS but all he needed to do is get Odin. He then went to the Island Closest to Hell and kept on getting into battles until Odin appeared. If Odin didn't appear he would just run.Limits breaks are way to powerful. I mean once you level up Squall he does 9999 damage 6 times.

GREAT GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Very fun and entertaining....
by kiefer_dt3000 ,Sep 21 '02
GREAT GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Very fun and entertaining. You can spend 75 hours of pure enjoyment. And another 20 doing side quests. This was the cream of the final fantasies beated only by Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy X. It is well worth the money spent. The great thing is, is you can keep playing and won't get board!!

This is easy one of...

This is easy one of the BEST games I own and have ever played. The graphics are so cool and the CGI films will BLOW YOU AWAY!!! The story line is perfect and some of the characters really do seem like real people (I should know; I'm like an identical twin to Squall: anti-social and hard to deal with). All of the boss battles have something that make them seem...seem so action-packed and give the player the excitement and strategy they want. If you see this game, PICK IT UP! Trust me, you WILL NOT be disappointed!
