Pros: Junction System, Great Plot, Great Characters, Easy-to-Use Interface, Card Game Cons: GF Animations get repetitive
It may look boring at first, but you will gladly give up 3 months of your life to finish one of the greatest video games ever made, and that game is called Final Fantasy VIII.
FFVIII comes to us from Squaresoft (I can't remember them ever...

Pros: Great Graphics, Sound, and Storyline Cons: Summoning time is too long
Square made an astounding advancement in RPG gameplay when they created Final Fantasy 8. With ground breaking graphics and sound, this game stands apart from all other Final Fantasy games in the on going saga. Characters Squall Leonhart Age: 17 ...

Pros: graphics, storyline, and innovation Cons: over emphasis on drawing magic and using GF
Squaresoft has quiet a reputation to live up to with such great games like Parasite Eve, Bushido Blade, and of course the Final Fantasy series. Keeping that very reputation in mind does Squaresoft live up to it again? Although it took the folks at Square...

Pros: Great Graphics, some memorable tracks.
Cons: Most characters are shoved in the background, bad storyline, bad battle engine.
Now, I have never played FF VI in-depth. But I have played a bit of it, and if I had played it to the end then I would have found it just as good as FF VII. Final Fantasy VIII was a disappointment compared to FF VII. Hence the name of this...

Pros: Looks great, tastes great, feels great. Fixes problems from Final Fantasy VII. It has the Final Fantasy name. Cons: Could be better. Lack of interactivity in the environment. Monetary system whacked. Can't level-up like ya used to.
Final Fantasy. The name itself conjures up emotions for me. I’ve devoted weeks of my life to games that contain that name. Days would pass where I’d forget to eat; I’d shun sleep and would only leave my dark recesses (oh so dark, save that eternal...

Pros: Great graphics Cons: Limited gameplay
This game was one of the most highly anticipated of the year and as far as I am concerned one of the biggest disappointments. From the TV and magazine advertisements this game looked stunning and apparently had over 60 hours of gameplay. This turned out...

Pros: Looks Great Cons: Less Filling
Every time I see a positive review about this game, I shake my head and wonder if, perhaps, I ended up with some horrific pre-release version instead of the highly-touted masterpiece everyone else seems to be playing. Sometimes I even light up the ol'...

Pros: Great Game. Nice card game, phenominal graphics. Cons: Compared to FF7....
FF8 is one of the best RPG's I have ever played (and I played a lot), but due to the tremendous expectations on its shoulders, a game that should be soaring came to a crashing halt. Like I said, FF8 was a truly well made game, but how can you compare...

Pros: awesome graphics.. Cons: music isn't up to par. Junctioning magic system is confusing. Evil Babysitting Queens named Matron!!!
Final Fantasy? we can only hope! That's a little too harsh, i admit. In actuality I do like the Final Fantasy games. I liked FFseven and FFthree (or six or whatever the heck it is called in the US), but unfortunately this one disappointed me.
This...

Pros: Artistically done, graphically gorgeous. Cons: Tedious battle and equipment systems.
When you ask that question regarding Square's latest installment in the long running Final Fantasy series, the answer has to be no.
Yes, the game is graphically beautiful, the sound is astounding.
And the plot and story is complex and...

Pros: New coming Cons: No bad
I was very disapponted with this game. I would give it a rating of 1, if we were rating the storyline only. FF 7 had a fantastic story, you really got into the characters and the storyline was engrossing and entertaining. FF 8, however, has little...

Pros: Great Graphics, Sound, and Story. A LONG and fun game to work your way through. Cons: Can get a little cheesey at times, with the conversations dragging on, and sub plots that seems to dead-end.
Once in a very long while a game comes along and pushes the capabilities of a home gaming console beyond everything that has come before. Even more surprising is when that game is on the oldest console that still has a heartbeat, the Sony...

Pros: Graphics, compelling story Cons: instructions hard to understand
Wow! What can i say about this game. The difference between FF7 and FF8 are very diverse. FF8 has one of the best graphics that i have ever seen. It even beats some of the games that i have played on a computer. FF8 has a compelling story line which will...

Pros: great everything Cons: none
I bought this game for my husband for Christmas. He can't put it down!! It has the best storyline, best graphics and is just really fun to play.
If you have at the duel shock control, whenever you call one of your guardian forces, it goes...

Pros: Classic Final Fantasy, as usual. The feeling of Final Fantasy is there in full force. Cons: A slight bit of nerfing occurs, making it easier for newcomers, but takes depth from veterans.
I wasn't sure what to expect went I started playing Final Fantasy VIII. Having played Final Fantasy VII, the bar was high. But this is Final Fantasy, it always meets and exceeds expectations, doesn't it?
After adapting to the new systems in...
