Pros: Unique battling and magic system, great music to listen to, colorful and detailed graphics, compelling story, very interactive, tons of side quests and addictive mini-game, aloy of movie clips, only $20! Cons: Music is very repetitive and can get annoying, love plays too much a part in this game, story a bit confusing with all the time travel and sorceresses.
Every gamer knows that Squaresoft owns the RPG market, and this eighth installment of their best-selling series proves it. If you played any other RPG, you would know that they're all similar. Do you still remember how to play that RPG? Good, now throw...

Pros: graphics music Cons: everything but the graphics and music
I think that everyone had very high expectations for this game. People went on to waiting lists just to get it. I think that Final Fantasy 7 was the best game ever made. But personally I hated this game. I have a question for you people reading this...

Pros: mostly everything Cons: sometimes boring...
Most people like Final Fantasy 8. I mean, after all, it's Final Fantasy, and it's made by Square. Some people don't like it though. I don't understand why. Sure, it gets a little boring sometimes, but every game has a weak point, doesn't it?

Pros: Awesome cinema sequences; Big game; And awesome graphics. . . Cons: . . . Can't redeem this game's mind-numbing boredom
The huge amount of positive press about this game all but forced me to buy it, as I anticipated what should have been a very good RPG. After all, it's Final Fantasy, how could Squaresoft go wrong?
Well, to answer that question, they managed to...

Pros: Cool characters and battle system coupled with stunning graphics and storyline. Cons: I did not like the upgrade of weapons instead of the traditional purchase of new ones.
Another visually stunning and fantastically captivating addition to the epitome of RPG's that is Final Fantasy. My friends all had SNES and I didn't. By the time Final Fantasy III rolled around I was the only one who didn't have it. After I got PSX, I...

Pros: Great storyline, great soundtrack, great graphics, excellent game play, a very long game, very involving, and very unpredictable Cons: May take some time to understand the magic system, not much choice for what happens to you in the story
I personally have been a fan of sci-fi RPGS, or least ones that deal with high technology, and not just magic and castles and such.
While that sort of game is all well and good, the sci-fi ones always have much more freedom, and FF8 excersizes...

Pros: Graphics definitely, characters, world, music Cons: Mainly the storyline, repetitive, uninteresting at many points in the game
I have beaten every final fantasy EVER made. This is the first time that I didn't enjoy it. Graphics are out of this world but graphics aren't everything. I was so disappointed with this, ESPECIALLY, after FF7. After Final Fantasy 6, I didn't think...

Pros: Best graphics ever, Best sound ever, HUGE Cons: Plot a little shakey
Well. Like many gamers, I started with FF7 and then moved to ff8. I must say, both games are absolutely fantastic. The graphics in this game are superb, the sound is stunning and the game takes literally hundreds of hours to complete.
Those...

Pros: None Cons: Too many
Well let me first off let me say that Final Fantasy VII is one of the BEST Final Fantasy games. I though that if VII was good, maybe VIII would be just as good if not better. So I went out and bought it, I started playing the game and all of a sudden...

Pros: outstanding graphics, realistic battles, and an interesting plot Cons: can be tedious at times
I have read some of the other reviews, and I get the impression that not many people feel the way that I do about this game. Final Fantasy VIII is the first Final Fantasy game that I have played. I had no idea what exactly I was getting into. The...

Pros: Graphics, unique battle system Cons: Too many people hate this game for the wrong reasons
I recently started playing my copy of Final Fantasy 9. I would have liked to have written a review of that game, but I don’t want to be one of those who reviews the game before he is finished with it. So I decided to go with a review of Final Fantasy 8...

Pros: Top of the line graphics and sound Cons: Over kill on seeing the GF's special abilities every time you call them out.
I purchased FFVIII because I had to see if it could out beat FFVII, and by all means it did!! I will always love FFVII, but it just can't compete with VII. The beginning of the game where it shows the fight between two of the main characters just drew...

Pros: great graphics, good story line Cons: not as good as FF7, GF sequences too repetetive
Following in the footsteps of Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8 is also set in a futuristic/modern day type setting. A young man named Squall meets a girl named Rinoa; who is the complete opposite of himself, a military warrior. Together they have to...
