Just two weekends ago, we went and saw surfs up. I thought it was a very, very cute kids show. I was a little taken back by the fact that it was like real live people as penguin characters. But this could also be because I haven't watched a kid show for a long time. Another odd thing was it was fairly short. It was only about an hour and a half long. I thought the story was very cute, and so were the characters. I would definitely see it again. The story is about a young penguin who wants to be a pro surfer so bad. He goes to a big competition, and try's to out surf the champion. He loses and feels really sorry for himself. The old champion, who everyone thinks is dead, finds him and helps him to become a better surfer. He goes to another competition and competes against the same guy who won him last time. He ends up not winning again. But the young penguin is not mad because the old penguin who helped him showed up to see him in the competition.
